Cool So... why isn't there a Conjure Earth?

W/E20:
I could really use it... there's one for everything else... why?

conjures should only ever be used on ele secondaries

speccing into conjure earth gives warriors and whatnots a whole arsenal of skills which would probably make the far too strong

Because to conjure it, you are conjuring energy (fire, lightning, frost). What kind of energy is related to a rock?

I guess you could have conjure kinetics, but that sounds ridiculous.

I've always thought of it like this:

Conjure Fire: There's flames on your sword, burning enemies
Conjure Frost: Your sword is very cold and freezes people, doing extra damage
Conjure Lightning: Electricity is arcing on your sword, doing extra damage

Conjure Earth: There's dirt on your sword? Doesn't catch my eye.

I thought it was because earth is mostly used for protective perposes but hey I don't know very much about the game since all the changes implamented since it first came out. In the begining thats whats its primary was if I remember correctly.

conjure earth would be overpowered. earth is already really effective at melee range with all the armor buffs.

I'm pretty sure it was just a flavor thing.

The main reason we didn't do this is the earth line is a defensive line it wasn't meant to have the extra offense of a conjure, also when we first made conjures earth damage didn't exist we just used blunt damage for all earth spells. ~Izzy @-'---- 18:29, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Can't see the harm in adding it. Can't really see the benefit either, unless you want some extra damage from an ebon weapon. As far as I know, nothing triggers on earth damage anyway so unless GW:EN introduces them it would probably see little or no use.

Come to think of it....

Lava Blast (E) 5/1/5 Target foe is struck for 20...56...65 earth damage. If you have more Energy than target foe, for the next 1...7...9 seconds, if target foe takes earth damage, target foe and all nearby foes suffer from weakness (or cracked armour) for 3...13...15 seconds.

Just a thought

Because warriors that run a decent spec Grasping Earth AND get the benefits of a powerful Conjure are actually quite scary?

Yah i think it would be a great idea to add Conjure earth in GW:EN

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

conjure earth would be like adding things like "watch yourself" and healsig into swordsmanship, or eviscerate into tatics. to put it into warrior language.
