No, but the chance of getting golds is increased while doing it in HM, And I think its faster in HM, because of the increased attack speed.

My friend got one a long time ago, i don't know where but pretty sure it was in normal mode. it was req 9 non-max.

Yes, but as you know they barely drop in Hard mode, the chance of getting one in normal mode is even smaller.

It means that you don't yet have the quest, although the quest is not needed to get a sword, with it active your chances are much greater.

Sorry to blow holes in this farm, but I have done this ages ago while farming lb points in HM and there is no difference in the amount of loot u get with a specific a/e or e/a build than just going in with your wurm and doing the business. I got exactly the same amount of drops using a wurm, which was was easier and faster. My lb points went from 10k to 50k in 10days, doing this only and not once did a ele sword drop loads of cash other golds, armours and elite /normal tomes but no ele swords. Sorry but I just dont see the point in this farm if u get the same result when using a wurm.

I don't do it just for the loot. It's my favorite farm because it's moderately fun. Also, I've tried this run in a worm with henchies. I get double the drops doing it by myself with the hench-flagging method. Doing it by myself is also much more mentally rewarding

nice one but if you sneek past all the groups you can solo it. only whit the last group you need to sprint past them

You can run past all monsters, the trick with the pop-up mandragor is that you run back to alem the unclean, and then let yourself be killed, the group of mandragor wil stay near alem and you can easily run past them now. Have fun.
