doubt it. all 3 forms of monoliths are in that spot(D, Me, P). That's -12 degen and VwK recharges for 20+ seconds.

two questions:
first possible to solo farm this with a ranger/ something, or can we try and think of a possible build (splinter barrage anyone?)
second: is just chestrunning to this spot to open the chest worth it? or do you need to take the quest?

I'm using the following build, and works pretty well:
Glyph of Elemental Power
Sliver Armor
Crystal Wave
Death's Charge
Shadow Form
Deadly Paradox
Feigned Neutrality
Shadow of Haste
I use only 3 Heroes just to get there safely and flag them away and farm by myself. Since i got the idea for the farm from a video on YouTube i didn't tought about bringing QZ with a hero until i read this thread, so my runs were taking around 40~50 minutes to finish.
Here's the video if anyone is interested: E/A Shadow Form Elemental Sword Farm
I'm not the author of this video, i'm just linking it.
I couldn't use Deadly Paradox to speed up SF recharge because i'd lose Shadow of Haste. I can't test the combination right now so i have some questions:
1st: The Energy Management with QZ is still good? Cause with the original build i NEVER ran into Energy problems.
2nd: If i use Recall on a Hero and flag him away, outside radar range, will the Enchant break?
I can't remember very well but i'm pretty sure that i tested Recall once to use it in a Runner build in GvG and the Enchant DO NOT break when you go too far from the target, since the Enchantment was changed some time ago and now it's maintained on you instead on being maintened on your target. The only think is that when you turn it off your shadow stepp will be limited by the radar range, but i don't think that's a problem.
If the Enchant don't break it's possible to bring Deadly Paradox only to use with SF, that would make the farm insanely fast, without having to flag the hero near the farming site, drop QZ, flag him away and without having to share your nice, shiny, golden loot with Dunkoro/Talkhora.

Deadly paradox, activate Shadow Form, Shadow of Haste, Death's Charge in, cancel shadow of haste with paradox again.
1)No, it blows.
2)Yes, it will. Otherwise everyone would use bonding with monks outside radar.

If you follow this skill order you posted you'll lose some precious seconds from Shadow Form and will teleport back too close from the Monoliths Spawn points, i got chased and killed some times.
1) Ok. Thanks.
2) Yes, well, i just tested. Works like this: The enchanted character when you use Recall is YOU not your target. It was your target some months ago, but it was changed after the shadow step radar range limiting. That means that if you cast Recall on anything and just run out of Radar range the skill will work just fine, but you won't be teleported to the exact spot of the target but the closest spot that doesn't exceed the radar.
BUILD
Glyph of Elemental Power
Sliver Armor
Crystal Wave
Teynay's Crystals
Death's Charge
Shadow Form
Deadly Paradox
Recall
Earth Magic: 16
Shadow Arts: 12
Deadly Arts: 3
Here's the trick, you have three options:
1) Going with a full party, heroes and henchies, and share all the gold, but not the drops. It's a lot easier to get to the farming site this way.
In this case you'll kill everything in your path and when you get to the farming site you flag all but one Hero away, i always use the Sulfurous Haze to kill them. Them you place that Hero in a spot where he stays outside of your Radar while you're inside the Temple killing your Monoliths but not too far so you won't have to walk too much to recast Recall on him, you can test good spots to place him while shattering the shrines to release the Monoliths, as long as his name is gray you're good to go.
I'll borrow one of Arghs screenshots to show everyone where i leave my Dunkoro, i hope he don't mind.
I usually place him in a small gap in the wall West of the Temple, not in the corner but in the middle of the North/South corridor. After that it's really easy, Recall the Hero, run to the Temple, when you're near it Glyph->Deadly->SF->Death Charge->Sliver let them kill themselves. I don't recomend spamming Crystal Wave because if you do that you'll have to wati to regen your Energy, those spells are there to kill critters when there isn't enough mob to power Sliver Armor. When Shadow Form is running out cancel Recall, Recall the Hero again and repeat. Forget about healing, with Shadow Form you don't need it.
2) Going with only one Hero. But you HAVE to kill the Mandragores just before the farming spot.
Just like the above, but it'll be harder to get there.
3) Going absolutely solo and casting Recall on the priest standing on that shrine not too far form the farming site.
It really take some skill to get to the farming spot, and the farm will take some more minutes to complete because you'll Recall the Priest on the Ress Shrine, so you'll have to walk a lot to recast Recall from where it will leave you when you return and then walk some more back to the farming spot. Probably faster with Shadow of Haste.
You can have your Recall Hero bringing some nice not maintained Enchants like Windborn Speed to speed up your walking proccess. And if someone doubt that Recall works outside the Radar Range just try it in Isle of the Namelless. Once again: Recall works outside Radar Range because it's maintained on you not on your target, just like Aura of Displacement.
Good luck, have fun and good farming. If someone finds more Elemental Swords, please post pics.
***EDIT***
Recall was nerfed on the temporary update of June 12th. If the change is made permanent the Recall trick won't work anymore.

Can this run even be done anymore after the Recall nerf? I mean, how close can you flag the Hero and be able to safely recall back to him? I would test it myself, but I am just getting a new Sin to the Desolation after accidentally deleting my other one.

I can still do it with recall, you just have to watch how far you go away from your flagged hero.

If recall isn't broken, your hero is taking half your drops. Not worth it.

I'm doing this build like 4 days got no Elemental Sword drop, or any good drop Just some rare stuff req10--13 But I'm still trying though :P
Btw, i don't use recall. Just me, it just takes a bit more time.
When you kill the first guys and make sure you can move inside w/o aggroing anyone, get near to entrance(becareful here 'cause there is a place where you die because of Sulfurous Haze) start casting Deadly Paradox --> Shadow Form --> Shadow Of Haste --> Death's Charge--> Sliver Armor --> Aftershock --> wait for shadow form --> Deadly Paradox
Cast glyph anytime you want b4 death's charge. It's hard to manage but if you can, it's fast
