ive just been testing farming the corsairs just outside the astralarium using the build i posted earlier. its really easy and the medics don't even heal lol. got a max gold req9 axe dropped by a corsair...this could be promising

I've -farmed- Moddok a couple of months ago, best I got was some sup runes and non max gold Tattooed. Figured I would give it a go again with HM..
So far got a sup para runes and 15-21, req12 gold Steelblade Scimitar, 6-25 gold req11 Hooked Axe.

Currently using an adjusted 55 dead sword farm build;
Protective Spirit, Healing Breeze, SoJ, Mantra of Resolve, Blessed Signet, Zealot's Fire, Balthazars Spirit, Blessed Aura

Only killing the cuttthroats though.. The killing takes about 30-45 seconds + the waiting .____.

Right now, I decline. I tried following them, but the damage and degen caused by following them is not negated it the W/Rt build.

I really hope u were taking a while in there cause Ive gotton nothin like that. The best drop ive gotten in there was last night. I got a non-max (5-27) req 9 ungula axe. Probably not even worth 10k.

Loot scaling was amended to only affect gold coins, whites, blues, and purples. Rest assured your req 9 gold Colossal is safe.

Interesting that some get a really crappy droprate. Without wanting to brag (it's all karma and luck) I sometimes had 4 rare runes in one go, stacking up roughly 10-15 rares over the course of an hour. With how many are you going in? I'm simply taking Dunkoro and flag him out of the way, then I accept and kill the ones further inside.
Maybe that is the problem? Most runes were dropped by the archers, none ever by the melees. And sometimes the captain dropped one.

Yes its max dmg and gold, though its req 11, but i'm not doing this farm for the money, just to expand my coloection
Got it with 3 heroes flagged away, though it seems like loot scaling doesnt for sure does not affect purples and golds.
I've been getting better drops with just dunkaroo+me or one other hero.

No Colossals yet, but i did get 2 Black Dyes, 1 purple Tattooed Scimitar(max damage , req 9) 1 gold Tattooed Scimitar(15-21, req 8 ) lots of gold runes including one sup vigor, gold shields and weapons, lots of grapes.

Well, imo tattoed's price will go down as dead sword's did. Say goodbye for 100k+ tattoed, hope nobody can get colossal here :P

A very crude first build for the cave in hard mode, WIP with no fine tweaking done. It's slow, it's ugly, it kills the corsairs. Simply something to start from:

Armor of Earth
Aftershock
Kinetic Armor

Mystic Regeneration
Earth Attunement

Put enough points so Regen gives +3 and then put one more point to factor in weakness. Run in, kill the Captain, then back off to pile them up (and to get them out of the Mandragor Range). Cast Sliver Armor and Aftershock whenever you're ready, keep up your enchantments, tap Energy Boon whenever you need it and before you know it, they're dead.
OK. I have another suggestion to replace energy boon . How about master of magic? Although you wont get much from using an earth spell, you will gain craploads of energy whenever u reapply mystic regeneration (which is fairly frequently).

EDIT: I checked the skill again and it states that whenever you cast a skill you gain 2 energy (yes im making energy storage 12) for every recharging skill of THIS attribute. Cast in point ur gonna be earning craploads of energy 2/3 of the time (that is if u dont get half recharge). U probably wont even need attunement.

i tried going E/D mystic regen but it is slooooow, you can kill the corsairs that ambush you still

16 earth
8 earth prayers
10-11 energy storage

skill slot, mystic regen, stoneflesh aura, armor of earth, earth attunement, elemental attunement, aura of restoration,sliver armor

all those enchants give you +21 regen pips to counter the -19 that the burning+poison+dunno+toxicity gives you

ps i use a 20% ench 10% recharge sword and a shield

I think I got a good "kill all corsairs" build.

just keep Resilient Weapon up all the time and spam VWK when avaible, when it turns off use Resilient was Xiko.

and bring a friend or snice dunkoro has to be there for moddok give him this.

make sure to shift click his ench. or he will cancel them. I keep him on peace so he doesn't fight and make sure he is flagged 1 1/2 to 2 aggros away from the line of corsairs. Accept the corsairs and follow them into the trap and as soon as it triggers run back about an aggro, so the imps don't strip your enchs.



Got acouple gold items and tanned hides but no shinny skins yet.

I finally found a good build for solo Zehlon reach. I got a max gold req 11 ungula axe on my first try too!
