1) Factions, not Fractions.
2) Ritualist is designed as a support class. Their nuking is not going to work better than ele nuking by design. You could, of course, use your high energy pool to spam certain Ritualist skills - Weapon of Remedy, Vengeful Weapon, Splinter Weapon, or just generally the Restoration healing spells. Unless you try to "fake it" as a Ritualist, though, the best use of such a secondary for your ele will probably be in providing a hard res (Flesh of My Flesh or Death Pact Signet).
3) You can change your secondary to a Factions profession once you go through the equivalent of "ascending" for that campaign. In Factions, this comes after the second mainland mission, in Senji's Corner. After you beat it, you can pay to change your secondary in that outpost or in the Great Temple of Balthazar (and switch it whenever you wish).
4) If you are interested in Ritualists so much, I would recommend starting a new character in Factions. With a Rt/A, you could unlock all the skills for both professions on one character, as well as get the "authentic" Canthan experience with a "native"

You can certainly change your secondary to ritualist no problem.
Rits can be a quite effective lightning "ele" just using ritualist skills.
suggest you check out Resiliant weapon and Splinter weapon
some of the other weapons can interrupt or heal or blind so may fit in your earth build.
Quite a bit of energy management in rit as well should you need it.

Would maybe suggest something like:
[build prof=E/Rt name="Something Fiery" box fire=12+1+1 energy=8+1 channeling=10][Elemental Attunement][Fire Attunement][Rodgort's Invocation][Fireball][No Skill][Ancestors' Rage][Splinter Weapon][Flesh of my Flesh][/build] ...as an alternative Prophecies / Factions version.

ah yes sorry
but i think that you can replace the skills with other useful skills
for the same it can be a SF nuker or like you did a dual attunement nuker

Just putting Ancestor's Rage and Splinter Weapon on an ele bar increases it's effectiveness greatly.
