HybridBuild request
Hi everyone, am still pretty new to guildwars, i have been playing for 2months. i have a airtype elementalist which in total honesty doesnt do much damage. but due to spells like glimmering mark and blinding flash, it is a great help to my teamm8s allowing them to do there job with more ease.
ANYWAY. why am here. upon recently watching alot of guildwars (gvg) it has come apprent to me that water elementalists are highly favoured. its rare occasions that i see lightning and earth. and i have still yet to see a fire ele in a GVG.
I personally dont like following fashion, in games such as this people tend to go with the most popular trend, am not a sheep i rather not follow the crowd thats why i went air ele in the first place (dont see that many compared to fire and earth)
i would like you professional ele guru's to come up with 2 builds that combines fire and water in a useful way.
i currently only have prophercies and factions. so first build please only use skills from those 2 games.
second build whatever you need from all 4 (since il have them in about a week).
i would like to know about attributes, subclass, weapons & armour. the people who help with this will recieve my gratitude. and those who come up with something really amazing will recieve 5k ingame (not alot am sure. but its incentive lol).
goodluck am count on you guys and lady's

[steam] [glyph of immolation] [shatterstone] [freezing gust] [blurred vision] [glowing ice] [water attunement] optional
That counts as fire and water right?
combining two elements is generally a bad idea unless for utility skills such as wards or blinding flash.

[build prof=Elementalist/Mesmer][Glowing Ice][Blurred Vision][Frozen Burst][Lava Arrows][Mark of Rodgort][Steam][Armor of Mist][Master of Magic][/build]
[build prof=Elementalist/Mesmer][Enervating Charge][Blinding Flash][Arc Lightning][Blurred Vision][Ice Prison][Frigid Armor][Air Attunement][Master of Magic][/build]
In my opinion, the water/air build is much better, because it is an all around melee shutdown beast, with a decent amount of multi-target damage from arc lightning.
For attributes you'll want 12 energy storage for both builds, and 10-11 in both of the others should be fine. I would use the prismatic insignia for unconditional +10 armor.
EDIT: Come to think of it, air magic is much more important in the second build, so I would go 12 energy storage 12 air magic, and 9 or 10 water magic. Use 20% enchant weapon too, obviously :P

You said you "it is a great help to my teamm8s allowing them to do there job with more ease" If you like doing that you may want to try a mesmer for a 2nd char.
something i have not tested but seems fun if you dont have NF is maybe
[gust][lightning orb][blurred vision][maelstrom][arc lightning][gale][air attunement][glyph of lesser energy]
or
[gust][lightning orb][blurred vision][maelstrom][deep freeze][gale][air attunement][glyph of lesser energy]

I've actually seen dR run a fire ele runner. Ever since Ensign's been afk, Divine's been a top notch runner.

these two builds seem awesome il check em out. will have to change a few things since i dont have NF and that. i think il use elemental attunement as elite. and the water armour thingy instead of frigid
