Default PvE Fire Build

Hey folks, Ive been looking around a bit for some direction on Ele's. I read the stickied guide, and felt kinda overwhelmed. After some thought I'd like to go Fire Ele, but Im sorta lost. Could you guys give me some ideas for Fire builds, armor (runes & sigs), weapons, offhands. I know its a lot, thanks to those who can help.

Your best bet is to go with either one of three builds:

Searing Flames fire ele

Mind blast fire ele

or a Savanah's Heat nuker build

All deal a lot of damage and are very beneficial to a team

You'll want a fire head-piece with a rune of minor fire. Definitely don't go with a major as 75 hp is a huge loss. There's really need for attune or radiant because with energy storage you should have more than enough energy. I would go with survivor/vitae with a +41 (+50 is 12-14k more and only gives 9 more hp.

For weps I prefer a wand and offhand with +enchant and +15/-1 on both (for emergencies) and a 40/40 set (main set).

Adding onto the above post...

[searing flames][fire attunement][gole][glowing gaze][steam][no skill][no skill][no skill]
Is the usual SF build. Steam is good for cheap utility.

[mind blast][rodgort's invocation][fire attunement][no skill][no skill][no skill][no skill][no skill]

Is the base of a Mind Blast build.

[savannah heat][rodgort's invocation][teinai's heat][searing heat][fire attunement][no skill][no skill][no skill]

Is the base of an SH build.

Bring utility on these bars and support in general.

As for runes, full survivor insignias with minors for maximum survivability.

For weapons:

Defensive set. (+5E/+30HP martial, +10AL vs. *type* shield) This set is optional, but it's always worth chipping into it for extra defense, and style!

If you're using enchantments other than attunements:

Adept Staff of Enchanting (Aptitude not Attitude)

If not, use a 40/40 set for every element you're speccing in and using.

Also, learn to switch in and out of your defensive set for every cast. That is, unless you're running SF, in which case just sit on your 40/40 and hit SF, SF, SF, GoLE, SF, SF, SF, SF, Glowing Gaze... well I think you get the point.

Oh, and if you're concerned about energy, buy a dual +15/-1 set for a high set. You shouldn't really need it as an Elementalist, however.

First of all major is 35 health loss, which is not that bad.
But anyways, [searing flames],[mind blast], and [savannah heat] are all pretty common fire elites, with mind blast being the most noob friendly allowing you to spam high energy spells like rodgorts invocation. Once you get better with an ele, you might want to consider [assassin's promise] which recharges all your skills after the death of the enemy you hex. This allows for more DPS but also better focus because you can drain energy quickly if you use [assassin's promise][glyph of sacrifice] and [meteor shower] over and over thinking you're dealing massive DPS even though the exhaustion pretty much screwed you. But when used right, you can rape almost any group in HM with [assassin's promise]
