E/R with Pet Build?
Just made a E/R for fun in PvE, was wondering if there was a build that included a pet. Anyone know of a decent working one?

Please, just, no, don't do it.
Pets are best left to IWAY warriors and Beastmaster rangers..

Bolded the important word for emphasis. Although it can be done due to the flexibility of second professions running a pet on an ele means you will loose out on 2 importanst skill slots as well as attribute points that could better be spent elsewhere.

Ok ok, I jest...
I used a standard [[Mind Blast] bar with the 2 slots generally reserved for Utility, used for Charm and Comfort animal instead. When I'd levelled the pet to level 20 I put it in the Hall of Monuments and never used it again.
Don't just use a pet for the simple reason that "you think it's cute", I implore you.

Hm, Ive tried many times but a pet simply uses too many precious skill slots to be usable for an ele. It's a pity because a pet is such a nice companion (appearance wise) for any character.

the higher lvl pet you have the more powerfull your pet will be. If you put more points in beastmastery your pet will be stronger too.

A guy in my guild made a E/R pet build with crazy DPS, you had a 15^50 wand or staff with a conjure, mark of rodgort, a few pet buffs and attacks and you could take shit out real fast.

I'm afraid that's the ONLY reason to ever use a pet in GW. Just be sure that you understand that you're gimping yourself and don't put yourself where you're going to be hurting other people's experiences because of it.

Not if he is playing alone
You want a E/R build that can finish NM? Your build is as good as anyone else.
Do you want an ubber efficient E/R build using a pet? If you find one pass the word.

You don't need energy storage for a beast master lulz. Just copy a r/any build from wiki and kill all expertise skills xD

If you want to use a pet - just think of it as a very insane ele player I met once - "The pet is my shield" >_<

only reason i ever used a pet:
when i got bored n wanted to help the greenhorns in old ascalon area. id load up sumthin like : rodgorts invocation, flame djinns haste, fire attune, charm pet, comfort animal, liquid flame, mind blast, rez sig
so i make things blow up n die and my dire spider runs around makin all the newbies ask questions.
yeah thats about it.
to an ele, pets are for when the place is so easy ur build really doesnt need 8 slots

One day when I get around to leveling my phoenix I'm going to make some sort of conjure pet build. Something like what I just threw together here.

I'm confused with the above build. How do you manage energy?

He should switch to Ranger primary, for Expertise. That would solve the energy problems.
Probably would be better with Barrage / Mark of Rodgort / Conjure Flame for PvE.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT LOLOLOL +9 ENERGY NUB
No srlsly, why you REALLY want a sub-par, low and single-target unfocused damaged when you can go air/fire nuker and blow up shit to death? Or run Earth and contribute to the backline.
