If you really want to interrupt, bring [Cry of Frustration]. (this ones good mecause it makes you go /Me, forcing you to look for a more useful elite)

Amen.
[mind blast][rodgorts invocation][glyph of lesser energy][searing heat][weapon of warding][Protective Was Kaolai][fire attunement][death pact signet]
Is a better choice for general PvE / HM. Ample damage, great energy management, nice support and a hard res. No need for snares when you have [earth shaker] from a frontliner, I know you don't like using melee...but seriously it's well worth it when played properly and a warrior running [Eviscerate] and [executioners strike] is sexeh damage, I can't be bothered to do the maths but I'm betting an Evis warrior can do alot more DPS than your Meteor shower.

im thinking of probably going water and using [deep freeze] + [maelstrom]. naturally i will have to be dual attunement for this to work with out sucking my energy dry. but i think i can put something together.
[elemental attunement][water attunement][earth attunement][earthquake][deep freeze][dragons stomp][maelstrom][eruption]<-----lol im exhausted. This build made me chuckle.
I wonder if i should start a new thread posting my serious snare build.

Another pretty fun concept, if you have decent Deldrimor and Vanguard ranks, is to give up doing the damage yourself and buff up your team members by taking two or three Barrage rangers and maintaining EBSoH and GDW on them. The rest of your bar can be snares, energy management and some additional utility, and you're still doing serious damage and KD'ing by proxy.

Ward against harm is also pretty nice for water, but I usually ran something like:
[shatterstone][blurred vision][glowing ice][glyph of lesser energy][splinter weapon][deep freeze][water attunement][death pact signet] or [flesh of my flesh] even swap blurred vision for maelstrom if you want, cause it is pretty nice.
can swap splinter for someother utility if your really against using melee, but [splinter weapon] + [wounding strike] = lolpve.
But..if you use splinter put 10 in channeling for the breakpoint.
