Master of Magic
I stayed online to see this skill come around with a new face, and I have to admit, it's pretty awesome.
Has anyone created a build thus far for the skill, I was looking at the Chilling Winds/ Arc Lightning combo, and that worked pretty well, as did taking the two heats.
By the by, just for reference, Elemental Lord and Master of Magic do not stack
Thanks, and happy discussion

For Reference... Master of Magic and ANYthing that ups your stats doesn't stack... Including but not limited to Grails, Glyph of Elemental Power, Golden Eggs, Elemental Lord and the like. Master of Magic will set your stats back to 12 no matter what... even if the stat was higher without the Enchant.

I don't know... a Snaring Warder with a fire nuke or two tossed in doesn't sound too bad. Granted the wards arn't maintainable and the nukes won't be as powerful but hey versatility comes at a price.

It kinda is, the +2 ene regen is really helpful, and although you can't use glyphs, it more than makes-up for it.
Also, even though it lets you run all four elements, there really is no need, (unless some epic combo is thought up) therefore, water/air,Earth/Fire, and fire/water etc. are the way to go I think... I would really like some opinions ^^

o.o Awesome idea! That also brings something to discuss, what secondary, unless mo or rt for a res, should be taken to use this skill to its full potential?

Just realised, the prismatic part is an awesome idea, however, the enchantment ends when you use an non-elemental skill :<
So the prismatic insignias would work, but the secondary proffession wouldnt unless there is some way to work around it...
EDIT: Maybe casting a long lasting item spell, then using MoM?

I ran into an ele using this spell. It took one Rip Enchantment for me to render her useless. Maybe it was just her poorly though out build, but it seems like this is a little meh.
Could be decent for PvE, maybe?

Maybe some Monk bonds. Cast 2 bonds then Master of Magic, it basically lets you keep 2 bonds for free. Although bonding might be better with Ether Renewal... Hmmm.

I guess I could work pretty well on Ele Heroes. Espicially if they don't have good gear.

I am certainly intrigued by the 4-way elementalist possibilities this new MoM opens. It's just a shame that at 16 energy storage the energy regen is still +2 (it's +3 at 19). I just installed MoM on my bar and updated my armor to prismatic insignia. Now for the fun of experimenting to begin .

Generally, the main use of Master of magic would be for utility from multiple professions.
Generally, Elementalist Utility in PvE sucks, so Ether Renewal will be better by far.

I'm suspecting that energy management with Master of Magic will be awkward unless you're mostly using one element. I agree with Axel as regards Ether Renewal. I will remain open minded until this skill has been thoroughly tested though.

the +20 AR from prismatic insignia when using MoM is still not bad isnt it, add [frigid armor] to it, much nicer.

"Elite Enchantment Spell. (1...49...61 seconds). Your elemental attributes are set to 12 and you gain +0...2 Energy regeneration. Ends of you use a non-elemental skill."

Hmmm - just thinking.....
Could you sustain a build using 2 maintained enchants, say Mending *shudders*, Prot Bond or Retribution etc. This would involve using 2 skill lines in your secondary, and pumping the rest of your points into e-storage.
Then spec whatever you like in ele lines and use MoM to maintain energy. I know it's horribly fragile and enchant stripping will kill it dead, but it might be fun to try, esp in PvP
*edit* tested in AB - horrible idea - forget I ever mentioned it
