Thanks Cronk, Its good to hear a ray of hope for a world full of sexually frustrated mud throwers. And the bottom line is, it is a good build. And so far nobody has offered a fire build that can beat it (dps wise). I saw a [cry of pain] spam with some kurzik hex, but that's not fire. Regardless who first discovered the build or how old it is, its not a common build because most people like simplicity. they are satisfied throwing phoenix, then mark of rodgort, then fireball with a bit of energy management mixed in.
Apparently i was in err about who actually created the build and that is something I will have to live with for the rest of my life. I may as well go into exile or Use order of pain to sacrifice myself to death. [End Sarcasm]
Cronk, people like you are sadly a rarity in the world for you are able to see past the end of your nose.
I salute you

Hardly gloating Axel.
Merely seeking input on a build in which i mistakenly thought was my own creation.
Put pricks seem to be a dime a dozen now a days so fine condescend all you want. it's alright daze. sometimes people makes mistake. on topic, may be you would like to have a look at pvxwiki (not sure if you ever heard of it). loads of fire builds there.
and one more thing, just to let you know that studying the foes in a particular area help a lot. for example foes that cast [skill]frigid armor[/skill] make [skill]searing flames[/skill] useless.

Well done on coming up with this on your own (whether it was around or not beforehand) but I guess I have a few problems.
Generally whilst playing SF it is very easy to maintain energy and spam to your hearts content, of course not as much as the echoed version but it wouldn't warrant the use of a dual attunement for me, which leaves me a few open slots for some utility, a ward for example.
Secondly I find that there are more effective builds than SF for hero's, and having to set a hero build up that won't perform as well as it could to fuel my own build doesn't rev my engine too much. In general I would rather play a regular nuking build with a water snarer or Unsteady earth hero to compliment the build, which tends to get the job done fine.
Also to refer back to an earlier suggestion, with 2 x SF the downtime would be so short that surely the other damage skills aren't really necessary, although nice to have around. Suggestions have been made already for those slots I know, but I'd back that up as a suggestion for improvement.
I can't say I've tried it out yet, but those are my immidiate thoughts.

i find it pretty decent, daze, don't take it upon these people for feedback, just because its out there doesn't mean its flame time, he simply put out his findings of the build and how he see's it as a satisfying and a very damage output build. i like the triple SF thing, thats really not bad, and i don't see it used anywhere, (must mean im a noob, cause that ele using flare*spam* flare *spam*flare, oh wait a healing breeze in the mix) is so much better than an ele that has put a touch of creativity on his build and thought about it instead of mindlessly spamming flare to no tomorrow. all im saying is a percent of people in GW have a build IQ of 4...... although some of these people have a nice standing arguement about it, and some scenario's this build would be flawed, but still cmon, in most places it would be considered a pretty good build.
Very nice build Daze and looking forward to messing around with it on a hero/TA/ whatever else i think it will look good on.

I get it, This is apparently a build that has been around since the dawn of GW.

Lol ur new to guru aint ya? Dude guildwarsguru in my experience is a ton of Vets from GW making idel chatter. When someone does appear to claim that he or she has created something uber then the amount of unhelpful responses that you will get is mind numbing in effect they are simply putting you down so they can get a small feeling of superiority of Knowledge of the GW universe. Yes the build is nothing new but i was pretty chuffed when i found it out for myself as well and will not put you down for finding it out. However do be careful on this forum peeps are generally in my experience can be nasty.
To help you Ele attunement on the hero ele is a better option than SF in my opinion. the ele hero does seem to drag a fair bit and i prefer the attunement on the hero option. Consider using mindbender as the movement buff is always helpful MS is a very useful skill i can see why you want it in your build but you might want to swap it for mindbender. Glyph of Elemental power is not really needed if the build does as much dmg as you claim swapping out that Glyph will not effect the outcome so again consider mindbender here.
As for your other heros i suggest a snare deep freeze works very well. Or if u really wanna throw around the ball use Earthbind it really gives you a good few seconds to deal out a mass amount of dmg when combined with MS.
Gl here on the forums and finding new tasty builds you might wanna look in the ele section for more ideas.
I suggest looking into Epidemic for condition spam build
Assassins Promise is a lot of fun on a ele nuker
Ether Renewal Prot/smite is a lot of fun on a ele and is very useful in tough dmg dealing situations.
Oh nuts looks like im not the only person who feels for you daze ^^ i only read page 1 feel silly now

Thanks for the sympathy and the advice... I do love [mindbender] and will more than likely swap it out with [GoEp] the only reason it was in the build is because i wanted to maximize my damage output over a 20 second period while i was testing the build. I tried to give vekk [elemental attunement] but i tend to get impatient and was not enjoying the 20 or so seconds between the end of [elemental attunement] and the beginning of [arcane mimicry]
Mind bender should help that though but it really could use glyph of swiftness... I am not feeling comfortable about this build as much anymore. It doesnt feel like it can stand on its own anymore without a hero. Id like it to be functional with out relying on vekk. I guess i wont really know until i get off of work and get home to try it out.
But here it is i cast from left to right
MY NEW BUILD ----Fire Magic = 12+1+3, Energy Storage = 12+1----
[Arcane Mimicry][Fire Attunement][Mindbender][Searing flames][Arcane echo][Incendiary Bonds][rodgorts invocation][Gole]
HERO BUILD ----Fire magic = 12+1+3, Energy Storage = 8+1, Water magic = 9+1----
[Elemental Attunement][Fire attunement][Arcane Mimicry][Steam][Mark of rodgort][Liquid flame][Glowing gaze][resurrect]
(hopefully Vekk doesnt mimic [Healers Boon] or [jagged bones] something like that

Bind Vekk's copy of Arcane Mimicry to a key on the keyboard, so before a fight you can press "F" to target self, then press the key to force Vekk to use Arcane Mimicry on you. Problem Solved.

F is skill 8 for me, and it's mainly used as my oh-f*** key.
As for the build, I really do doubt it's the highest AoE damage you can get. Going E/Me stops you from taking Splinter Weapon to really buff your melee and deal probably more damage than the build itself. I would also consider losing slot 6 and 7 on your most recent bar and putting in some utility like Steam because it's cheap and synergises strongly with SF.

I've messed with a lot of Arcane Mimicry builds and TBH they never seem to work as well in-game as they do in my head. That said, if you can get it to work for you, well done.
My personal suggestion is essentially what Tyla said - I'd ditch Incendiary Bonds and Rodgort's Invocation for some more utility, whether it comes in the form of [Steam], [Blurred Vision], [Ward Against Melee], anything really. I'd probably run with 12+1+3 Fire (well, really 12+1+1, but you seem to like superiors), 10+1 E-Storage, 8+1 Earth/Water/whatever. Trying to simply spam nukes really isn't near as beneficial for your party as negating half of all physical damage, etc.

So what you're asking for is a build like this,
You:
[Build prof=E/Me fire=12+1+3 energy=12+1][fire attunement][arcane mimicry][arcane echo][double dragon][liquid flame][flame djinn][phoenix][mindbender][/build]
Hero:
[Build prof=E/Me fire=12+1+3 energy=12+1][fire attunement][arcane mimicry][arcane echo][echo][liquid flame][flame djinn][phoenix][mindbender][/build]
that can deal about 2348 damage in 6.75 seconds (counting aftercast) as opposed to 1900 in 20? Sure, it isn't practical, but it deals S00000 MUCH D4M4G3!!!!1!!1
That is, if the point of this thread was to find maximum ele fire damage. If it was to maximize that build's damage, I would say your best bet is:
You:
[Build prof=E/Me fire=12+1+3 energy=12+1][arcane mimicry][fire attunement][arcane echo][searing flame][no skill][no skill][no skill][mindbender][/build]
Hero:
[Build prof=E/R fire=12+1+3 energy=9+1 wilderness=9][elemental attunement][fire attunement][rodgort's][Liquid Flame][Fireball][no skill][Quickening Zephyr][serpent's quickness][/build]
That should almost double your damage output, and, with double attunement, Trogdor should still only cost about 6e to cast.

Well i didn't even know that was possible, mapping a heros skill to a hotkey? Thats awesome. How is that even done?

Thankis for the revamp on the build, that is what i was looking for. Good idea with the ranger skills. Im not too keen on the double dragon. Although it may deal massive damage as does most up close fire damage, i dont like the idea of "Squishy Ele goes splat" by trying to take the frontlines

that was a joke that obviously went over your head. the point was that eles are not all about dealing damage. they can deal a respectable amount of AoE damage while providing team support and utility. if you want massive damage most classes outdo elementalists.

Bad jokes tend to end up going over my head
Pound for pound eles do the greatest amount of AoE damage. You say that most classes do more damage output than eles but you give no examples. So i guess i just have to take your word for it.
Dont bother trying to explain it to me because it will probably just go over my head

daze you seem like an A**hole, sorry but you do. your aragont and annoying, people are helping you and giving you advice and your ignoring it. and in pvp eles are more used for utility than anything else. and AoE is pretty much useless in PvE HM due to scatter include a snare in your build like ice spikes or deep freeze or 'your' build will EPIC FAIL.

lol thanks for your opinion. But all i am doing is defending attacks from people who try to insult my intelligence. I have taken every piece of helpful criticism. Like when someone posted a variance to the build with the ranger secondary class.
I thanked him for the advice and told him it was a good idea but then i was attacked in return. But thats fine, Ill be the a**hole. I really dont care.
And i like the deep freeze snare just fine.. I also like Meteor shower semi snare. I will probably end up using both. I may sound arrogant but all im doing is not rolling over to insults.
I guess maybe it is because i am just new to Guru, im not used to all the pricks and monkeys throwing feces. I dont know why i expect anything different though.. Its the main reason why i either hero and hench everything or join groups made up of guild members or friends.

Warriors in general, Dervs in general, Assassins in general, Rangers in general...
Damage effected mostly by armour is weaker in general, and with a few hits of a weapon at 14 mastery you'll end up dealing more damage than a main ele spell. It's free, and you can also buff that damage to insanity.
As for "most AoE damage", I show you this: [splinter weapon]

i do love splinter weapon
im sure you all remamber this build [OghjowMooOkViRRcX4NxY4iLGA] >>>cant seem to get the graphic to display<<< that is what my vekk has used up until i started playing with the notion of arcane mimicry.
So tyla, do you think that air skills may be a better choice since most of them have armor penetration?

Armor ignoring damage is the way to go in HM.
If I would play an ele I would use B-surge with some wards and some more utility and let others do the killing.

yes i'm sure we would all remember that build if we could see it. why wouldn't we?
anyway, i can definitely see the dual attune-dual SF doing a ton of damage but there's still plenty of room on your bar for support also. [[steam], [[deep freeze], [[ward against foes], [[ward against melee], [[ward against element] are all decent choices. with a dual attune, you don't need E storage at 13. back it down to 10 and throw some helpers on that bar and you should be good to go.
