factionsless PvE build
My problem is that i heard that SH builds are good,
I took a look at PVX and i saw that all the good builds had faction skills,
and i don`t have factions
so anyone knows a good high en build whitout any factions skills?

savannah heat you mean?
you're not too clear on this
you can always tweak a build to match your expectations tho
[this;OgBSoYGPkViRREZ0LAA4CBA]
you can take out [teinai's heat] for something else like [incendiary bonds] or even use [arcane echo] to have two savannah heat's for massive damage output
[deep freeze] is also good for keeping them in the AoE

What Nightstalker said. Just slot some utility in slot 6 and you'll be fine.

If you've got SF, there's no point in Rodgorts since you've got less time of spamming SF and GG.
Switch it out for Steam in my opinion.

MS sucks. seriously. the skill costs 25 energy and exhaustion, plus it takes a full 8 seconds to do anything if by some miracle you finish the 5 second cast. then it only hits 3 times. and then you wait a full minute for it to recharge... totally useless

For 3 hits of AoE knockdown plus 100+ AoE damage. totally worth it as a hybrid snare/nuke. Although everytime i cast it, i usually get 4-5 hits of damage out of it. It works great for pinning a group or boss in one spot long enough to AoE the crap out of him/them.
And as was previously stated [meteor shower] + [deep freeze] = ultimate snare.
and [meteor shower] is a great opening move for any attack some builds like [assassins promise] nuker depend on it
[aura of restoration][fire attunement][glyph of sacrifice][meteor shower][assassins promise][deaths charge][bed of coals][flame djinn's haste]Keep up 1 and 2, use 3 to support 4, then just repeat 5,6,7,8 until all enemies are dead in area, using 3,4 when its advantageous(IMPORTANT remember to call targets so you dont waste [assassins promise]) <<<<i love this build, since i always call targets, heros and henchies will help take out any enemy hexed with [assassins promise] which lets me [deaths charge] all over the place making the whole battlefield one big [bed of coals]
I'm sorry, i know you are looking for a factionless Ele build, but i was just illustrating the usefulness of [meteor shower]

Armour says hi.
On a 100 AL enemy, you only get 150 damage out of the 14 seconds that it actually takes to deal that damage when you could have been dealing alot more damage within the original 5 seconds casting time for MS.

which is what makes [glyph of sacrifice] so valuable
I know this thread is for Factionless builds so here is a nice simple build that has good balance and can be used anywhere+
Fire Magic 12+1+2, energy storage 9+1, earth prayers 8
[elemental attunement][fire attunement][flame djinn's haste][mystic regeneration][glowing gaze][incendiary bonds][rodgorts invocation][liquid flame] basically using build is easy:Keep up 1,2 for infinite energy; 3 for speed and decent PBAoE; 4 for health; 5 for more energy management and spammable damage; then spam 5,6,7,8 until everything dies. <<sometimes i swap out [liquid flame] for [meteor shower] depending on where im going.
In all i think this build has a nice comforting balance of energy management, health management, and damage output.

MS sucks in any serious gameplay, even PvE.
it ether is a 5 second cast or it takes at least two skill slots.
It has one of the longest recharges in the game.
It does relatively low damage for its time/energy investment. the damage is also affected by armor, making it useless in HM.
It causes Exhaustion.
and it never hits anything. with a hard cast it takes 8 seconds to land, with GoS it takes 3. either way, if there is enough of a mob left in that same spot you are doing everything else horribly wrong.
Drop it, you lose. there are WAY better alternatives.

I could have used those two skills on Mind Wrack and CoP for better damage.

lol nice attitude. Your words sound like nonsense due to the fact that i have successfully vanquished elona and acheived legendary guardian using [meteor shower] and i am almost done vanquishing Tyra.
All you are expressing is opinion. My meteor shower always hits its mark and always snares them just long enough for everybody caught in the area to die. the thing is i always calculate who im going to cast it on and make sure they are preoccupied. (like monks and casters) if they are not preoccupied or even aggroed yet then i make sure to get their attention with the first meteor which will faithfully pin down, interrupt, and deal damage to them. If you cant seem to get it to work then that speaks volumes about you.
You seem to be totally blindly against meteor shower for some reason. Did your family get hit by a meteor shower as a kid or something? So I can either believe your babbling, or the months of successful uses that i have gotten out of it.
Man thats a hard choice.
Sometimes i run a water build in AB, but when i am using a capping build, i never enter without [meteor shower]. Now granted i dont just go casting it at everything that moves, but i do save it for shrines(and the occasional huge freaking Kurz mob). Casting [meteor shower] then [incendiary bonds] then [rodgorts invocation] will single handedly kill any shrine but the warrior shrine. Ive even tried to remove [meteor shower] and use a different snaring skill, but none seem to interrupt them like [meteor shower] and it will end up taking more than 3 skillcasts to kill a shrine. If you know a better way for an ele to wipe out any shrine with 3 mouseclicks, then i am all ears.

Okay, so you spend three slots - one elite - to make useless skills into okay skill?
Glyph reduces casting time of MS to 2 seconds (glyph 1s + aftercast 0.75s + 0.25s MS cast - yes, glyphed spell is not instant )
So you have to wait 5 seconds for first trigger of MS.
Which is pretty insane because your H/H buddies should be able to kill most targets in that time. If it lives to get more than one trigger, you are doing something wrong.
Also, if you continue to promise/glyph it, you get exhausted to boot.

PvE is hard in the first place, isn't it?
I'd rather use my secondary on Mind Wrack and CoP. 2 seconds for the entire burst of damage > 11 seconds for the maximum damage.

wait, wait wait. did i miss an update where they made PvE hard and doing anything other then getting LDoA was an achievement?
*checks update notes*
nope, you're still wrong.
[Flare]+[Fire Attunement] > [Glyph of Sacrifice]+[Meteor Shower]+[Assassin's Promise]
seriously
(this is all before armor at 14 fire)
thats 682 damage from the flare spam on a single target
vs 315 from MS on a single target
adjacent range is tiny, but if by some miracle you hit another foe thats 630
and flare spam keeps going! you dont have to pray that your teammates kill the target for AP.

Ya, i see what you are saying, but [assassins promise] does more than recharge [meteor shower]. In all reality after the healers are dead i dont use meteor shower anymore. Is primary purpose is a snare with interrupt feature. Mostly after the healers are dead i just repeat that [assassins promise][deaths charge][bed of coals][flame djinn's haste]
Maybe you guys think im using [meteor shower] for the damage it barely deals. No, i use it as a snare with interrupt capability

My bad, i thought that when you stated that it sucks in PvE, you meant PvE. I guess i was wrong. PvE is not hard at all actually. Good thing i have trusty ol [meteor shower]

Deep Freeze is a stronger snare as it is direct and doesn't take 3 seconds to take effect. (NOT taking in cast time) There are also stronger, cheaper things for interrupting.

Mshower is a snare?... no its not. and 3 interrupts in 9 seconds is hardly effective.
