Maelstrom is awesome. Caster mobs cringe at the power of my Mind Blast fueled super ultra awesome bar.

you don't use maelstrom for the damage, you use it for the interrupts and to get mobs moving. the more they move the less they can do. btw destroy tremors and destroyer of lives + maelstrom = gg.

Maelstrom makes me happy in my pants.

But the last few posts with suggested skills are all great - and what Tyla said about eles in HM is true (*cry*)... their damage output is fairly crappy. Physicals and armor-ignoring damage will beat the pants off an ele any day in HM.

I've found out that these days my ele uses very few elemental skills on the PvE side. She's there either for full time EBSoH + GDW + misc utility spamming, or spawning hordes of little ninjas through repeating [Assassin's Promise][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support]["Finish Him!"]

add VoR and DBombers and i'll agree. the rest is junk. casters in GWs pve HM are mostly support unless you're speccing a mesmer for a specific kill.

Hex removal on enemies comes at a steep price to them (AI indiscriminately will remove non-threatening hexes), and the amount a water ele can apply is huge (deep freeze, Blurred Vision, etc.). Not to mention the darling new PvE-only skill "Snow Storm." Tossing that onto a snared mob is pretty fantastic. It has an excellent recharge (compared to its fire counterpart), costs less energy, AND fewer enemies are designed to combat that type of damage. Also, if your party is lacking in other utility, Ward Against Harm is a good choice elite, but there aren't many other water elites that are widely used (unfortunately).
WTH is [[snow storm]???
i see no [snow storm] in here http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Elem...uick_reference
it sounds tasty, where can i learn more??

*EDIT* ok nevermind. I answered my own question... I feel silly... Now wouldnt it be awesome if [[water attunement] or [[elemental attunement] could power [[snow storm]??

And now a days AP nuker really cant go without [[finish him]
[fire attunement][mindbender][Glyph of sacrifice][meteor shower][deaths charge][bed of coals][assassins promise][finish him]
[finish him] is too sexy not to bring

I can lock an unproductive thread with one swing of my "Close Thread" button.

Amazing huh?

Adding to Celestial's message:

Stop hijacking build threads with discussions on what's best to run in PvE. Go make your own threads if you really need to discuss it.
