If you really want to run nuker...

I'd say number one. SF is not really that effective with only one fire ele spamming it.

I'm iffy about the idea of running SF with a hero. That's still not going to do a whole lot of damage if with just two. Maybe a good mediocre amount. Besides, as opposed to two eles using the first build posted instead, no contest.

Mind Blast, Rodgot's Invocation, glowing gaze is still the best fire-el combo to my knowledge.

#1 is def better, but you may want to incorporate in either [glowing gaze] or [glyph of lesser energy] or both. Just because rodgorts and meteor shower can drink up your energy. But i always have liked to use Meteor Shower with the triple heats to kind of hold the enemies in place long enough for your heats to really pile on the ouch.

Other than that its a nice build you got there. I used to like triple heat until i maxed out all my EotN rep titles.

And if you do have EotN, instead of lugging around a res sig you should leave the res up to your heroes. I just always bring a handful of res scrolls on my ele and i never bring a res skill. Res Scrolls are pretty cheap.

Number 1, but dump Meteor Shower for Deep Freeze, and try to fit Glyph of Lesser Energy in there somewhere.

i agree with daze, if you jiggle no 1 about a bit so you get glowing gaze and possible imoliate (after the buff its awsome ) in there it would be better. i maybe wrong but you might struggle with nry with just fire attunment...

1) SH, Heat1, Heat2, Rodgorts, DF, GoLE, Fire Attunement, Res/HardRes.

2) SF, GG, LF, Fire Attunement, GoLE, Res/Hard Res, utility, utility.

use 1 if solo ele, 2 if you add more hero/human eles that run same bar (or atleast same elite). Heroes will spam sf... its what they are good at.

or of course you can be even cooler by running mb rodgorts.

No, not Mind Burn.

Mind BLAST.

Just a nice elite that allows for good e-management without being too dependant on the attunements and allows for support to your party, which is what eles do.

If you're running triple heats and have access to EotN, you should really bring Ebon Battle Standard of Honor which gives a substantial bonus to every damage packet regardless of your Vanguard rank.

Furthermore, if you have EotN I would recommend trying the following build:

[Glyph of Lesser Energy][Rodgort's Invocation][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][Assassin's Promise]["Finish Him!"][Fire Attunement] (2 free slots)

If you are running AP nuke build, you may as well run a good one.
You are allowed 3 PvE only skills so you may want to go with
[pain inverter][ebon vanguard assassin support][assassins promise][finish him] or
[ebon vanguard assassin support][Assassins Promise][You move like a dwarf][Finish him]
[Glyph of lesser energy][fire attunement] and [assassins promise] is a bit overkill on energy management

THis is the ap build i use most of the time
[fire attunement][glyph of sacrifice][meteor shower][liquid flame][pain inverter][assassins promise][you move like a dwarf][finish him]
Most of the time its just 5,6,7,8; but sometimes when the pressure is very high (aggroed too many mobs) i like to rain down multiple meteor showers to shutdown the area. 2,3,6,8 repeat. On average i can have up to 4 meteor showers all raining at the same time, but in areas like the forest in FoW i have set loose over 10 meteor showers in under 30 seconds on the hydras. (causing me to be about halfway exhausted, but causing massive enemy shutdown)

I know i will probably get flamed for promoting meteor shower, but i always prefer multiple KD to slowness any day. In hard mode Deep freeze is not always that helpful. Since enemies get a 33-50% speed increase in HM, [[deep freeze] only slows then down 16%-33%. Id much rather have a KD snare. at least that has a chance to add interrupt to the snare.

/flame.

Ok not really. Sorta. But I think the reason prefer a snare like Deep Freeze over MS is that in HM enemies will scatter from it before it makes an impact or after one if your lucky sometimes. Although if you do manage to get 10 off at once that is probably superior to a Deep Freeze. And additional plus to Deep Freeze as well, is that its a hex. Those who run Discord necs probably like that a lot. Also not many like the whole, half my bar is exhausted thing too. If i bring any i usually bring Deep Freeze for normal play because the cast time is less(and recharge without AP) and i don't want to bring Glyph of Sac as well. Now if I'm doing tank-n-spank for some reason or another, I'll probably consider MS if other eles aren't already spamming that away.

To me personally, its all about the situation.

As for the question asked, #1 is better. However, i would go and follow some of the advice on here. Like Mind Blast. <3.

I appreciate your objective opinion. It is a lot more refreshing to have someone give valid and unbiased input as opposed to "You are stupid if you use Meteor shower" or "MS is for stupid noobs"

I agree with the hex benefit for discordway though. I love to run discordway, but i have learned that a handful of direct hexes makes for lot cleaner spikes. While a handful of AoE Hexes/conditions offer more pressure. When i run AP though, that one build takes care of all my hex/condition needs.
First i cast [assassins promise](hex) then i cast [you move like a dwarf](condition), then heroes spike with [discord], then i can mop up with [finish him]

If i want to apply more insurance for guaranteed discord spikes i can run this build
[deadly [email protected]][mark of [email protected]][enduring [email protected]][pain inverter][assassins [email protected]][you move like a dwarf][finish him][sadists [email protected]]
that build is full of fast recharging hexes. I can dump all my points into energy storage and deadly arts which lets me fast cast all those hexes with an energy pool of almost 100.
Deadly paradox really helps out in letting me really lay on the constant hex pressure faster than any hex removing mez enemy can remove them. It also helps out on the occasion that My assassins promise misses and i have to wait for the recharge.

I dont like to run Mind Blast in PvE b/c e-management is generally covered by GoLE...as well as fire attune. Therefore the Savannah build with a snare(Deep Freeze as someone suggested) is best at doing fck loads of damage. Consider adding Rt secondary for Death Pact sig or Splinter weapon...
