hello

an friend of my haves a little trouble dealing with the doppelganger mission.
after some trying he asked me if i know a way to kill that guy so i came up with this build:
[build prof=E/Mo name="doppelganger fun" Wat=19 Hea=12][Mark of Rodgort][Healing Breeze][Elemental Lord][Glyph of Elemental Power][Intensity][Shatterstone][Vapor Blade][Shard Storm][/build]

and to explain it a bit:
it uses mark of rodgort so that the doppelganger will waste time on it.
healing breeze as self heal because doppelganger only uses regen skills to counter degen.
elemental lord and intensity to boost damage and becouse the doppelganger never uses pve only skills.
glyph of elemental power also to boost damage.
and then shatterstone, vapor blade and shard storm as spike damage.

and for the calculations:
because of ele lord and glyph of ele power your water magic will be 19.
and therefore shatterstonde deals 120 cold damage and after 3 sec another 120 damage.
that is 240.

vaporblade deals an massive 167 damage and becouse the doppelganger don't uses healing breeze the damage wont lower.
now we have 407 damage

and for the finishing touch we use shard storm that deals 105 damage.
and now we have 512 damage in a couple of seconds.

but if your sunspear rank is 10 the damage will be 25% higher.
and whopping 640 damage.
enought to kill the doppelganger in NM and almost enough for HM

so will this build work nicely because i ahve no ele to test it out an that friend of mine refuses to buy spells for an build that wont work.

or you can just put alot of spells with long cast times on your bar and spam flare while the doppelganger sits there.

Or just take 3 pve skills that deal lots of damage, and a pet...

doppleganger LOVES frenzy....add that...and you win, just dont use it....OC

If the AI is still as stupid as it was before, you can go sub ranger, pack a bunch of spirit rituals, and just Flare away at your doppelganger as it takes its time creating those spirits.

the doppleganger can be killed more easily with much simpler builds that don't require pve skills or elites.

All pet skills. Dopple can't have a pet. Congratulations, you just killed the dopple in 8 seconds.

[Shadow Form][Expunge Enchantments] + random attack skills. It's not complicated if you know how the AI works.

in NM all you have to do is line up your skills from left to right, Stick 4 enchantments in the first 4 spots and before you step on the last stone, turn on all your enchantments.

Then while he is turning on his enchantments you can let loose with your arsenal.
ele is probably the easiest doppelganger to beat
[elemental attunement][fire attunement][water attunement][aura of restoration][meteor shower][maelstrom][rodgorts invocation][deep freeze]

even that crummy build can own the doppleganger

Long casting spells that won't hit you if you dodge them, aka Meteor Shower etc. and Flare. Let him cast, you just dodge and Flare him to death. Easy as pie.

to satu:
you dont use [frenzy], he does and takes double damage
he doesnt use pve skills so no [ursan blessing] for him and you own him

The Doppelganger doesn't use PvE skills. So you use Ursan and he uses Frenzy: dead meat in seconds.
