I usually run builds depending on the area/enemies.
If I'm heading into an area where I know I'll be able to rip through enemies, than I'll use SH to get through it quickly but if it's an area that I'll encounter more sustained battles, than I'll use MB to help with long term e-management, etc.

You realize that Assassin's Promise/Meteor Shower bars almost always include [[Glyph of Sacrifice], right?
Anyway, I agree with the Mind Blast in HM, Savannah in NM comment. Both of your builds could use a touch of utility instead of just all out nuking, but whatever.
Also, please learn how to spell Rodgort.

[[Savannah Heat] is overrated. Even in NM, enemies usually only stay in the AoE for 3 seconds so it doesn't do any more damage then the normal spells.
But it doesn't really matters since it's only NM Anything is fine there. I'd go with [[Searing Flames] if it has to be a fire build. But generally I'd prefer earth.
In HM, fire really is a very bad choice, earth is far superior. Spells like [[Churning Earth] deal the same damage as your fire spells (which is, compared what other classes can dish out, not very much) but adds a sure knockdown (since every enemy in HM moves faster then normal).

Are you sure? Cause I did pretty much everything in NM with a [[Savannah Heat] and [[Searing Heat] combo and I hardly ever saw them running away.

Quite sure. In NM I usually switch between elements randomly since it's only NM and some variation is fun. I'd say I used fire magic for about 30% of Factions, NF and EotN and I was quite disappointed with the AoE spells in general.
Heroes and Henchmen kite all the time so it is basically impossible to catch melee enemies in the AoE for anything longer then 1s to 2s. Ranged ones tend to run out of the AoE slower (since they aren't following kiting NPCs) but they eventually do move. I rarely ever saw any monster staying in the AoE for the full 5 seconds. 4 seconds do happen sometimes for the non-melees but I think 3 is the most probable.

I'd go with SF if I wanted to do pure damage. SH might be slightly better for NM, but it really doesn't matter what you run for NM. Just grab 7 henchies and win the game. SF is the better choice for most HM or HM-esque tasks in terms of damage, but MB gives you a lot of utility.
