Rank the armor insignia for ele
I'm trying to spec out the 5 armor sets needed for the Hall of Monuments. I'd like each set to actually be usable for a different purpose. I'm asking people to rank the insignia from best to worst for use by an ele. (Please refrain from posting how everything but survivor sucks, I already have a set of survivor)
So far, I have my main set with Blessed on the chest and legs / Survivor on the head, hands, and feet.
Second set with full survivor.
I'm thinking Geomancer for the third for [skill]Stone Striker[/skill] builds and maybe prismatic for the occasional mixed build, but what for the fifth?
Please consider both the ele-specific and general-use insignia. Thanks

For PvE,
Blessed for general purpose use.
Geomancer for Stoneflesh-based farming.
Maybe prismatic for some sort of goofy Master of Magic build.
Maybe, maybe survivor if you somehow had an ele build with no enchantments in it.

You could use Radiants. Could help in some farm builds, and for general pve if you want.

1. Survivor
2. Geomancers
3. Blessed
The rest of them are trash.

As an ele, yeah, everything but Survivors (Which work if you have nothing better to put on), Blessed (If there's no heavy enchantment removal in the area you're doing) or Geomancers (Obby Tanking) are pretty much worthless. Although Radiant can help in some farming situations, usually another one of the already listed insignias is better. Prismatic was good for ursan though!

Survivors suck in PvE. The puny 40 HP will never ever help you with anything.
Blessed for general purpose is best, on all pieces. There are only two reasons to ever use something else in PvE as ele:
1. Farming. You know which insigia your farming setup needs. Geomancer ftw
2. No enchantment. So you are running a build without attunement or you are in an area with extreme enchantment removal.
For the 2nd case I'd make one armor with stalwarts, one with prismatic and the 5th one is free for whatever you want ... I'd probably take another elemental armor like pyromancer.

Except that the number of times your health drops below 40 but above zero is a non-trivial figure. Everytime that happens, you'd be dead without survivor.

MegaVolti is right on this one, for PvE purposes, armor is worth more than hp. 5 armor is slightly better than 30 hp (weapon suffixes), and 10 armor is significantly better than 40 hp.

Armor is usually better if you can make sure you're getting the bonus, at least until DP starts to stack up. The only reason to use survivor in place of it is if you can't guarantee your +AL type matches damage, or if there is enough armor-ignoring damage to make it not worthwhile.

No. Because 10 bonus armor actually make your health drop less when you are hit.
So when 0 bonus armor the damage would take you below 40, but with 10 bonus armor it won't.

What do you think about a 55/330 set? Dont know if that would interest you. I know you are asking for insignias, but you also mentioned you want to have swappable armor for specific situations.
