Default What now?

Hey guys, last night I finally got my E/Me to lvl 20 after 1.5 weeks of working through Proph. I'm currently working on the missions to get ascended. What I'm looking for is some advice on what to do once I finish ascension.

I'm returning to GW after an almost 4 year break and picked up Proph and Fact on a new account (I don't have the others yet). I have never played through Fact but I have started a Sin on there that I'm working through during breaks from my Ele.

I would like my Ele to be my primary and atleast a decent money-maker to support fledgling secondary characters. I come from the days when Ele was THE nuking class (stopped playing shortly after the first anti-AoE nerf) and that is what I know best.

I've got 8k in my pocket, a Rune of Sup Vigor (awesome drop), non-max collector armor, max Pyrewood Wand and Illsunder's Focus, and plenty of materials and wep mods in storage I've been hording. Those are my only resources.

I would love some input on how I should begin to get a bankroll going and get my E/Me to where I can start farming decently. I look through PvX, the wiki, and these forums daily and have had a lot of trouble bridging the gap between getting to lvl 20 and being a kick-ass PvE Elementalist of Doom ^^"

Thanks in advance for any help and please ask me to clarify anything I haven't included. I'll be checking this very regularly.

Get NF for heroes, and EOTN for pve-only skills. Play through them all. Rinse and repeat. Begin grind-fest.

1) Enjoy your b-day presents
2) For damage, go fire nuker, have a water nuke as a back up.
3) Good start, not much else is needed for beating the games
4) Farm Nicholas items found here. People are paying 1k for a root this week, next week it will change, so keep a eye on that page.

So continue beating the games and don't worry about farming till they're all done? Is there any way to make decent gold while taking a break from grinding missions (low skill-req farms)?

EDIT:
Also, while I'm going through the missions and saving up, what should I be buying and in what order to build up my Ele? Max armor with runes/insig, weps, skills, etc and in what order?

You could always get the 5 Gifts from Nicholas the Traveler every week. If you don't want to open them then you can sell them to other players for 7k to 7.5k each. That's an easy ~35K with only a little to no grind depending on what he requires.

You should get to Cantha (Factions) by getting a ferry from LA (its not hard you can do it yourself), then get armor from there. Upgrade with that sup vigor, SURVIVOR insignias, and a mix of attunement and vitae runes if you want, energy shouldnt be a problem , you are an ele . Once you are ready to get better looking more expensive dont forget to use a PERFECT salvage kit to get those runes and insignias off of your current armor.

I'll be able to help you once Im online 2morow if you want me to :P

Max Armor first. You can't use a Max Weapon if you are dead.

Use Minor Runes for Attributes so that you don't lose HP for bigger booms for now, once you are used to the game again, and how to overcome not having as much HP, then, if you want, use a Major/Sup for your main Attribute, but not until then.

For insignias, go either all Survivor (+40 HP) or Blessed Insignia (+10AL while Enchanted - no good Ele is w/o their Attunement spell, so you should meet the condition), with Minor Runes for your Main Element (which should be on a matching Headpiece for a total of +2), Energy Storage, and if you want, a secondary Element. The rest, fill out with your Sup Vigor and however many Vitae runes to cover the last 1 or 2 slots.
