Counter shatter enchantments
Hey guys,
I been playing GW for years now. Off and on since 05. I am trying to do some solo work with my Lvl 15 E/Mo and I am in Yak's Bend right now, and these damn guys keep taking my enchantments away. I looked up the GW wiki and trying to find someway to counter them but I haven't found any luck.
Is there any enchantments/items to block the spells....that block spells that stop them? hahah If that makes sense

At that point in the game, no. Overall, the only elementalist skill that will prevent your enchantments from getting stripped (in most cases) is Obsidian Flesh (which is elite and only useful in some very specific farming builds). Your best options are to use a cover enchantment (a cheap enchantment applied on top of your valuable ones since enchant stripping always acts on the enchant that was applied last), switch to a build that doesn't depend on enchantments, or just take it like a man and send some fiery love back.
Edit: just noticed the part about soloing. You are taking henches with you, right? GW is meant to be a team game, and even low level henches help a lot.

Also a good skill for Mesmers (who also have lots of Spells to cast, but little in the way of self-healing), even at 0 Energy Storage (200% return). Not so good for anyone else, though (since Necros, Monks, and Ritualists have better healing options for themselves).

Since your /Mo, another cover enchantment option is Vigorous spirit. Cheaper/faster recharge then Aura. Either is fine, or use both if there are multiple strips.

Hey again,
Yea I usually use henchman but I'm fighting like lvl 8 guys right now so they are easy to take on. I use aura of restoration at all times, and that's the main thing that keeps getting stripped. I'll use vigorous spirit, but it won't matter if no one is with me right?
So I think I understand what your saying. Is use a cheap/fast recharge enchantment to cover the others? Nice strategy I'll see how it works. =]
Will let you know my progress lol thanks for the quick replies
EDIT:Well I tried some stuff out, and it seemed to work somewhat...
However I think the shatter enchantments these guys use take away more than 1 enchantment. I'm around Yak's Bend so I'm dealing with the stupid dwarve guys, but I got a decent strategy
Usually there is a combination of mages/rangers/ and axe men. So I cast Fire storm on the rangers/mages and lava font to damage the axe guys while I just rip them a new one. Once there dead I heal and just attack the other guys
I can only Solo though (with no henchman) against 4 dudes top so lol

Shatter Enchantment will only ever remove 1 enchantment at a time. Perhaps you're getting hit with 2 at once/in close succession or you don't notice that your cover enchant is down.

Stone Summit Sages use Shatter which removes one enchantment. However, the more common Howlers use Strip Enchantment which removes two at 8+ Blood Magic.

Maybe you can try to have ... dun dun dun dun ... two cover enchants.
Also, you can bring henchmen and enchant them with vigorous spirit, they should soak most of enchant removal that way. The more to strip in whole party, the less chance something important gets stripped.
Or you can try getting by without enchants in this particular area. Glyph of Lesser Energy is great energy management skill that should suffice in low level areas.

ORRRR...bring interrupts If you are an ele that would be hard to do, but ideally, you can just bring D- Shot & stop 'em in their tracks...

Cover Enchantments have been suggested before: Using something like Aura of Restoration to protect your Attunement is a good plan.
Another thing is...don't forget the Glyphs. Glyph of Lesser Energy works on 2 spells, which means if your enchantment is stripped it will help keep you going that little bit longer.
If your enchantment is stripped, the big thing to remember is not to spam spells. If you pick targets and spells intelligently you can make your energy last much longer if your attunement is stripped.
