Default [Hm Build] Earth Promise

Hey!

Today I'm showing 1 of my new build for HM as a earth ele.

[build=OgdTkYG6V6UgpZBaXMmEWAZIVAA]

Usage: Begin by [earth attunement] then cast [Glyph of lesser energy] then use in order: [Eruption], [Churning earth], [assassins promise], [ebon vanguard assassin support] and finally [Finish Him]. Use [Ward against melee] to protect your allies.

["Finish Him"] and [ebon vanguard assassin support] are optional. Other good option are: [Great Dwarf Weapon] [You Move Like a Dwarf] [Pain Inverter] [Mindbender] and more !

Tell me what you think.

Looks good, ability to almost spam eruption and churning makes it pretty badass. Good alternative to a AP fire ele.

Edit: Casting times may be a problem, 3 sec and 2 secs might slow down the build. [mindbender] could be a useful alternative to add.

With 20/20 Casting time = NP

majikmajikmajik: 1: Why use it ? Massive dommage, Heavy pressure (blind +KD)
2: Where? In genral Vanquishing or HM Mission.
3: What to do? Own HM.

I would carry Mind bender as the cast times are quite high. It looks good though, tons of assa's running around+aoe blind+dmg is nice

That's nearly the same build I started to use a few days ago, also with [[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor] to improve the damage of the two AoE-Skills.

I use something similar to this Eruption spam is just.....uber in HM i find that for better energy/spam/no risk of failure is using Glyph of Renewal with Auspicious incantation (spell check) and eurption make for gr8 blind spam This build of yours looks good and is something that i would use but im not a gr8 fan of Sins promise i find its to.....flimsy for HM builds its good but the amount of times i have had a hex removed on the death of a foe or a guy suddenly being mass healed when he must have been on 3hp makes sins promise for me....dodgy. Just avoid using it in certain areas such as Weavers life, blood, venum (aka Spiders) and Jade brother hood are in abundance certain foes just can not be Sins promised effectively so for a general HM build Sins promise for me.... is not sensible.

I look as my role in my h/h team is to spam blindness, mass Aoe dmg and spike for something that you are looking for might i suggest osbion flame seeing as your build seems more of a healthy mix of dmg/Kd/melee shutdown a sudden spike of dmg in my opinion is needed. Finish him works very well however I prefer os flame. I also suggest ward of melee goes for Aura of restoration for a cover-enchantment/self heal seeing as the foes will be blinded i see little use for it. If you disagree with aura of rest then swap ward of melee for ward of ele....... one giant fault with this build is you ‘need’ a cover hex for sins promise Pain inverta is a useful hex in HM.

that’s the end of my rant i hope it was helpful

Nice, something to try instead of the standard fire. Churning Earth is simply amazing in HM, me <3 seeing entire group of melee mobs on they're backsides for extended periods of time . It's also a great way to fuel those discord builds we all love
I would definitely use Mindbender on this build though, 2 and 3 secs casts aren't fun

Ty for all theses comment

I'l explain why I don't use [Mindbender]

First, I only use [eruption] and [churning earth] on war, derv and ranger mob etc. and never on caster or a single target so I do the 6,1/4 second combo 1 time maybe 2 per mob. For single target, low life target or caster I use: [assassins promise]+[Ebon vanguard assassin support]+["finish him"] and the target is most of the time down (except for some boss). Last point is really simple: waste of a slot.

I alway cast eruption first so they will try to scatter after 3-4 second then I use churning eartn and BAM they still sit in the eruption

I think "Finish Him!" would be good on bosses, but I would try taking intensity. That would make Eruption and Churning even more insane.

QUOTE] please please P L E A S E don't tell people to spam 25 energy spells and 15 energy spells... thats just asking for energy problems as far as the build goes.... i guess it is pretty solid although some skills could be switched around a tad bit, such as ebon vanguard assassin. he doesn't do much for damage :/

Don't know what you mean, I always use the Assassin Support as it deals pretty good damage... Considering I use Sabway, the physical damage synergizes well with the curses, too (Mark of Pain, Barbs).

Looks just like my hero's build, except without the PvE skills of course.

I also bring grasping earth to help out my discord team.

Btw - I am running something similar (in terms of how energy intensive it is - it's fire though - I LOVE my Firestorm - it looks SOOOOO pretty! ) - and considering that you have pretty high Deadly and that AP recharges GoLE also - I dropped Attunement from my build. Also considering that pretty much half your skillbar isn't affected by the Attunement AND that you'll used GoLE to fuel the most expensive spells - it's worth at least dropping it for a few test runs.

Here's my skill bar. I sometimes substitute intensity for armor of earth, but meh
OgBDk8OMT4gpC0C1CnCMNXDsCA

This skill bar has gotten me through all 4 campaigns with no real problem. I've also never had to adjust my bar for a certain area. I like those builds that work everywhere and aren't just really good in some areas and crap in others.

This build is good in all areas ^_^ Good aoe dmg, aoe blind, aoe anti-caster, and great health and energy management. What more could you ask for?

1. Old build concept is old. This has been around for months.

2. Drop assassin, use EBSoHonor. Sticking +15 onto every packet from Churning and Eruption is MUCH more damage than the silly assassin can do. And the effect on char is just hilarious.

3. Mindbender can replace attunement, but it makes energy very tight.

Eruption spam is great in HM. Even if you only hit the enemy once or twice they'll still be blinded.

I use a slightly different build:

Assassins Promise
Eruption
Churning Earth
Glyph of Lesser Energy
"By Ural's Hammer!"
Ebon Battle Standard of Honor
Mindbender
Optional (i usually pack ward against melee)

Quite easy to hit for 40's on HM warriors and 60's on casters. And AP recharges everything so the downtimes are fine.

I run nearly the exact same bar with Discord (zzz), just with Mindbender instead of Churning Earth. Churning Earth could be swapped in for Ebon Vanguard Assassin, depending on the rest of the party's single target damage. When not running Discord, obviously EVAS and Finish Him aren't essential, nor is Mindbender, so I go with something like this:

Assassin's Promise
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Eruption
Churning Earth
Ward Against Melee
Earth Attunement
Ebon Vanguard Battle Standard of Honor
By Ural's Hammer/Pain Inverter/Great Dwarf Weapon/some other PvE skill

I much prefer the Earth version to Fire in HM. The damage is better and it provides greater utility through blind, more regular KDs and blocking.
