E/W Earthern Hammer
I think it was here that I saw this build. It combined earth spells with hammer skills. Please refresh my memory.

If you absolutely HAVE to use earth/hammer, use a zealous hammer with the following.
Crude swing
Earth Shaker
Whirlwind Attack
Aftershock
Drunken Master
Armor of Earth
Skill of choice
Skill of choice
For PvE. It's still BAD... but it's not so bad it makes me ill. Don't ever run any E/W hammer in PvP.

Well then, what do you suggest for a--at least decent--E/W PvE build?

For melee ellies I'd suggest everything but earth, because you could at least use a conjure.

Meleementalists are more useful and deal greater DPS in HM... If you don't want to run ER, and AP eles are lame in human teams then E/W earthshaker is the way to go. Earthshaker-Frenzy-Whirlwind Attack-Crude Swing + whatever else you want.

I think you forgot to add in Healing Signet too, HigherMinion.
No seriously.. in PvE you could run almost anything and get away with it, as long as you have fun it doesn't matter if the build is not optimal. Especially fun when you go on gimmicky hunts with your friends where everyone brings an oddity build.
