You do have to keep casting GoLE and AP, but then again you have to keep casting GoLE and AP with all AP builds so I don't see the difference.

In EotN I generally pick Herta, Lo Sha and Cynn, although in some areas (e.g. Forgewight, where many monsters have a billion armour vs. Fire) I pick Zho. Blood Necro is OK, although I find it mildly annoying when it casts Blood Ritual on me when I don't need it - all I need for energy is AP to trigger, but the AI doesn't know that.

Well, I only use AP on my necro; because I don't think it's the PvE skills that make it so useful, but recharging MoP to spam AoE big damage. I'd rather give Glyph of Renewal-MoP a go, lol. I used AP also on a mesmer, which was a bit better than ele also due to Fast casting making things take a little less time.

Spamming GoLE is annoying, though, it accumulates into time you've spent not dealing damage.

I've used Spiritway only a little. Mostly if I lure properly, on my necro, I can ball up and MoP nuke with paragon heroes/Minion Bomber. I like to get the most out of my hexes, and they do that well.

Also for lulz I like taking Anton and Zenmai with Jagged Strike-Death's Charge-Death's Retreat- Dark Escape and Locust's Fury/Flurry; for more lulzy Shadowstep- lolattackspeed.

I think when I've used it, it's been flawless. But replacing it for a mesmer still doesn't help proc MoP.

When the mesmer update was released, i tried all sorts of Me/ hero combos; PI and Keystone mostly. PI is very nice to keep things balled for MoP to do it's thing.

You should try H/H spiritway in BLA without any cons and you would know what I mean.

People hyped up discordway and now spiritway so much that they think it is invincible in ALL areas in the game. Spiritway has its weakness, as in every build, spirits require line of sight so you can't use corner tricks easily against huge mobs, unlike discordway. Spirit attacks can also be mitigated through blocking and heroes spirits are susceptible to strong AoE attacks without summon spirits. With the long 45s recharge of communing spirits, it is not very effective against stronger mobs.

Sure if you are vanquishing and pulling mobs, you can wait and prep spirits, it becomes easy to use spiritway. But if mobs are charging towards you while you protect, like in BLA, the weaknesses are more apparent.

BLA is an exception to the rule for most really powerful builds. You don't have a good healing and protting section (no Mhenlo+Lina...just retard Alesia). And you can only have 6 people. Then the foes you're going against come en masse (around a dozen per wave) and get progressively stronger. It's a very unique place.

Had no trouble doin mn bla with h&h using a bomber MM, sos rit and a hybrid communing rit with soul twisting, defense and offense..didnt get past the first stairs until the last 2 waves... and got quite a distance into HM with the same setup before wiping and not having dp removal.

Like I have said, Spiritway is surely effective for HM vanquishing, but so are many other team builds. Discordway still works well, even my own builds work well enough for vanquishing. Vanquishing is easy enough that you dont necessarily need to use spiritway to be successful. All you need to do is simply pull and aggro management.

Because most areas in PvE (even HM) are now glaringly easy due to all the power creep, the best comparison would be in the toughest areas.

As far as BLA HM is concerned, NOTHING really works. No one has managed to complete it h/h without cons. I heard rumors of someone making it to the ele boss, but we don't have screens so we can't be sure. Even then, he used freaking splinter barrage.

AoE attacks are not much of a threat if you know how to pull and flag. There's a reason that Jeydra still has the fastest Forge HM time, and it sure isn't spiritways lack of defense. Then agan, aren't you the one who qqd on pvx for a week about spiritway not having enough partyheals?

No I wasn't the one who qqd on pvx for a week about spiritway not having enough party heals.

And you don't need to pull in BLA because they would come to you whether you pull or not. This is what makes BLA different from the other vanquishing/dungeon areas because you can't wait for your 45s communing spirits to recharge before enaging the next mob.

Areas? What other area in the game is as difficult as BLA HM? I reckon that spiritway can take anything BUT BLA easily and quickly (for H/H).

Just because for that particular quest, you have to protect an area instead of pulling, that makes it irrelevant?

It is time to think of how to make use of the new mesmer buffs instead of relying on the old builds for everything. I said that to the old discordway fans when rit was buffed and now I am saying the same thing again to you spiritway fans. Incredible how people fight so hard to protect the old ways and just refuse to adapt everytime another class gets buffed.

It's irrelevant because there is no other area in the game that is even remotely near as challenging as BLA. There's no point comparing the validity of builds in BLA when talking about general pve.

Also, i never said that Panic was a bad option, although i would never use shared or SS. Its viable in certain areas and ive used it. What i questioned was your issue with safety with spiritway
