How armor works:
This mislead me for some time. Origionaly I thought that you simply added all the armor your character has (60 head, 60 chest, 60 arms, etc.) which is what I'm assuming you believe. This is not true.
When you are hit by an attack, that attack strikes you in 1 of 5 places (head, chest, arms, legs, feet) Depending on where you are hit, the game will take that piece of armor and calculate the damage you will take from the attack that hit you. Enchantments and stances effect you no matter where you are hit. This is why you will have 70 +10(stance or enchant) +24(conviction) = 104.

speaking of these bonuses...i still dont quite get the idea of how they work, especially windwalker insignia....u get +5 armour while under an enchantment...another +5 when u are under 3 enchantments, and, another 5 when under 5 enchants...do they stack?Does it mean tht even with 4 pieces of windwalker insignia in each piece of armour aside from head,u get 15 armour for each piece of armour(aside from the head),around 105(plus conviction) averagely?
can someone clear this up for me again? i'm confused...thks....

If a peice of armour says +5 armour while enchanted, you will have +5 armour while enchanted only when your hit on that specific peice.
So if your chest peice has +5 armour while enchanted and your boots don't and you get hit on your boots, you won't get that +5 armour from your chest peice.
Your chance to get hit on each peice is somethin like this:
Chest-37.5%
Legs-25%
Boots-12.5%
Gloves-12.5%
Head-12.5%
so chest peice get's hit the most and would have the most benefit from such a peice.

Total armor bonus with windwalker insignia is 5/10/15 when you have 1/3/5 enchantments on you.
The reason is you are fulfilling multiple bonus conditions, when you have 5 enchantments on you that means you have fulfilled the requirement of 1 and 3 enchantments on you at the same time.
(Likewise with 3 enchantments, that means you have +5 armor twice).
