Dervish Solo melee build
hello all. i have discovered a build that will easy for you to solo melee mobs. i haven't tested with anything else besides mino's but i'm sure it can do other kinds of melee. like trolls, and stuff. i use 15 scythe, 11 earth, 11 mysticism. put extra point where ever you want.
1. vital boon
2. signet of pious light
3. mystic vigor
4. veil of thorns
5. armor of sanctity
6. mystic regeneration
7. avatar of balthazar
8. optional ( rez for group play, essance bond or balthazar spirit )
first if soloing start out with casting essance bond or balthazar spirit. this is your way of making mana fast . then what i do is right off the bat cast avatar of balthazar before i start fighting. i run into group of mobs and cast # 3, 4, 5, 6. i then maintain those enchantments for entire battle. when elite drops it might get hairy depending on how many mobs you are facing if so then cast #1, then quickly 2 for a fast 274 heal for very little mana. thats really it. i have managed to take on about 10-12 mino's at a time and stay around full hp all the time. if you want, should work out just the same swap vital boon or signet of pious light out for conviction for extra armor when elite drops. or u can use conviction with a melee attack like victorious sweep for dps and heals. i suggest others to try out. it is a fun build which i have worked very hard on perfecting. for best results i suggest using a bubahls grasp or icy soulbreaker of enchanting equivalent type scythe.

umm if i'm not mistaken this game was created by the same folks who created diablo and magic the gathering. when talking about energy pools. its referred to as mana. if i am wrong then forgive me. i do believe that is the correct word that i am using. and also i use 15 scythe cause i like causing dmg fool. if i have something like 9 or something i'm not using my scythe to the fullest. i know there is a formula posted somewhere that states you need like 12 minimum in weapon skill for it to reach its max potential. i also searched and didn't really notice a build that uses the same setup as me. so get off you high horse with your mystic tank build or whatever you call it being #1 build there is EVER! and try other builds for a change. you might just be suprised on how well they perform. like i said i have tested this build, and yes it works. simple as that.

Guildwars, Diablo and Magic: The Gathering are created by three different companies.
And there's no need for that kind of hostility, it makes you all look like morons.

this build would be better if you dropped your Scythe down to 9 and raised your Earth, and/or Mysticism up. Having a Higher Scythe Attribute will not cause more damage unless you are using Scythe attack skills.

I don't really know if this applies to Scythes as well, but in warrior weapons when you add the attribute to 12 it increases the chances of landing a critical hit meaning more damage than a normal hit.

This build can't take on more than 5 mobs. And that's what solo farming is all about, 5+ mobs pounding on you at once

Scythe skills get higher attack bonuses, but your regular hits will also increase in damage.

This is correct, your critical chance goes up over 1% per point in your weapon, regardless of class. 15 Scythe is pretty ok, but it would gain a lot more power if there were actual attack skills in the build.
