D/E Solo Ettin Farmer
Profession: [Dervish/Elementalist]
Name: Kuwlij
Type: PvE
Category: Solo Farmer
Weapons: Suli's Scythe
Armor: Max Armour
Attributes:
Earth Magic: 12
Scythe Mastery: (10 + 3) 13
Mysticism: (8 + 3 + 1) 12
Skills Set:
[skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill][skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill][skill]Lyssa's Assault[/skill][skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill][skill]Armor Of Earth[/skill][skill]Stoneflesh aura[/skill][skill]Faithful Intervention[/skill][skill]Avatar of Balthazar[/skill]
Summary:
This build will allow you to farm Gypsie Ettins east of beetletun. AOB is only used to run past the mergoyle and Tengu to get you to the ettins. Put up faithful intervention as a failsafe. When aggroing the ettins cast Stoneflesh and armor of earth. This earth magic combo does wonders for dmg absorption. as for the damage dealing, the best possible combo (determined by recharge time and energy usage) would be:
1[skill]Lyssa's Assault[/skill] 2[skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill] 3[skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill] 4[skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill] 5 [skill]Mystic Sweep[/skill] 6[skill]Eremite's Attack[/skill]
Rinse and repeat. 2 rounds of attacks usually kill the ettins. It's important to try and hit 3 at a time (as scythes usually do). if you can after you have been surrounded, move back so that all ettins are facing you. this makes it much easier. this is also highlighted in the vid.
Video Example of farming run right out of beetletun
Notes & Concerns: The only issue is with the degen the tengu hit you with in the begining before the ettins. Even in the video provided i ran into a little hitch (even ran into some lag problems) but still turned out just fine as for energy (esp if not using a zeleous scythe) make sure you either have 10e for stoneflesh when it needs to be renewed or that you cast Lyssa's assault to get 10e to renew while attacking.. or at least have a +10e weapon to swap to.

Looks awesome! I have most, if not all, the skills for it, so I'll probably try it first thing tomorrow. Thx for posting the video. Builds mean alot more when you can see them at work.

Nice build, but I would suggest bringing an elite scythe attack and [skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill]

Why waste your elite spot for a skill only used to run past 3 very small mobs of enemies? I'd replace AoB with [skill]Pious Haste[/skill] (which is fine with 0 wind), replace a scythe attack for [skill]Reaper's Sweep[/skill], and replace Faithful Intervention with [skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill]

Your picture shows you use kinetic armour - when you actually use armour of earth.
Anyway, looks like an alright build, nothing new though. Etins didn't drop anything for me
And you missed out my favourite scythe skill^^
Chilling victory ftw

Takes a little getting used to. Getting to the ettins is no problem. Getting them lined up just right is a little tricky (my first time I got trapped in the middle and body blocked so I couldn't back out). I'm used to axe builds on my W/R, so being surrounded is usually a good thing.
Stoneflesh Aura is the cornerstone to the whole build, and it's the fastest enchantment to wear off and takes the longest to cast. Really gotta keep an eye on it or you'll get clobbered. Energy management is very important, keep Armor of Earth on for its longer duration, so that if you don't have 10e to renew Stoneflesh Aura, you at least have an enchantment on you to benefit Lyssa's Assault (otherwise you've just wasted more energy and have to wait even longer).
However, I have enjoyed this build for general PvE and missions. I started out D/R and adopted this build just before Venta Cemetery. This build got me through practically untouched on the first try. Also took it to Vizunah Square Foreign and it worked pretty well. AoB is handy in Nahpui Quarter against Gaze of Contempt. Armor of Earth and Stoneflesh Aura get knocked off alot there.
