Default Dervish potential in PVP?

Hey guys, I'm new to Guild wars and i seem to really like the dervish. However, I can never find anyone playing as a dervish primary when I observe games, and the only one I did see pretty much stayed dead the whole time. Do you think the dervish has what it takes to get into some nasty battles?

Thx for any input.

The Campfire is for PvE discussion.

*mods should move this to the gladiator's arena*
anyway, the dervish has several roles in PvP. it can be a mass blinder with [skill]Ebon Dust Aura[/skill] an enchantment remover with [skill]Avatar of Grenth[/skill] a pretty tough and hard to stop melee machine with [skill]Avatar of Melandru[/skill] which goes well with [skill]Wearying Strike[/skill] an enchanted spiker with [skill]Mystic Sandstorm[/skill] and you can dig up other uses as well, those are just some examples...

Melandru's dervish with hex builds on jade, enough said.

If you watched the CT, you'd have seen enough of that, trust me.

lol sry bout posting in wrong section >.< wont happen again

I saw that Everfrost had a Dervish, but she seemed heavily reliant on a monk for staying alive, and I dont want to be very dependent on another person.

You cant play PvP like that

Organized PvP (as GvG is), unlike most of PvE, is a focused team effort. Everyone relies heavily on everyone That's how you win. When you have no one relying on none, then everyone is doing a bit of everything and the efficiency is low. In real-life terms, the boost in economy happened at the same point, when people started specializing and each doing their own part
