Derv Who Goes Boom
Name: Derv Who Goes Boom
Class: Dervish/Mesmer*
Attribute points: 16 Earth Prayers (12 + 1 + 3)
15 Mysticism (12 + 3)
3 Inspiration Magic
Equipment: Any req staff (Inspiration req 9 works, since you have points in it), Insightful Head (+5e), Sieze the Day inscription (+15e/-1eRegen), hp +30
As many runes of attunement as possible. Radiant runes OR survivor, Super Mysticism, Super Earth Prayers, if you feel low on HP, use a major or super vigor rune.
I've gotten my derv to 470ish HP and 67 energy with this equipment, I've found it works best, but is not entirely needed.
Earth Prayers head piece (+1 earth prayers)
Skills:
[skill]Mystic Sandstorm[/skill][skill]Channeling[/skill][skill]Aura of Thorns[/skill][skill]Dust Cloak[/skill][skill]Heart of Holy Flame[/skill][skill]Staggering Force[/skill][skill]Mirage Cloak[/skill][skill]Pious Renewal[/skill]
I have never heard of a Derv bomber before, so credit goes to whoever came up with that first. I searched and found a guy who used pious renewal in his derv bomb build, but for a different purpose and whatnot.
Uses: PvE Damage/Condition build, RA Damage/Condition, TA, etc... anything that has a party and needs damage, you can do it.
Variations: You can take Mirage cloak out for a Rez, and Channeling out for a self heal if needed. If you take Channeling and mirage cloak out, you will have an energy cost of 5 for each cast chain, but get pretty much the same effect.
How to Use: You have two choices; aggro before or after you cast your enchants. Before aggroing, cast them in the order listed (Do NOT cast mystic sandstorm), aggro mobs, run up to casters (preferably with melee mobs following) and press Mystic Sandstorm. By then your enchants should have 1-3 seconds left of recharge, rinse and repeat until all are dead.
You get 49 energy and 125 hp (or so) once you hit Mystic Sandstorm, the whole thing costs 60 energy. But, if you use channeling right, you should end up with more energy than you had before you started casting. This works very well for both PvE and PvP, and I have used it for both with a good deal of effectiveness.
Inorder to have an energy gain, you need atleast two people in the area for channeling (not hard for PvE). 1 person works aswell.
Damage (before armor reduction): 425 (damage from spells/etc) + 56 (burning) + 60 (10 seconds of bleeding). THESE ARE BEFORE ARMOR REDUCTION.
You will also inflict Blind (5 seconds) and Weakness (15 seconds)
If I have broken some rule or other for posting this, sorry... well, here it is. The Derv that Goes Boom.

It has been used, mostly in RA and AB, but not so commonly as to draw much attention. Here's my take on the build:
D/A
Aura of Displacement [E]
Mystic Sandstorm
Aura of Thorns
Mirage Cloak
Heart of Holy Flames
Staggering Force
Mystic Regeneration
Dash(AB)/Res Sig(RA)

D/A is better, you only need 4 enchants to reach the maximum damage from sandstorm. plus without AoD you need to run into, and out of a big mob.

Yeah, the idea was more for PvE (at first), I used it in RA/AB for fun and it seemed to work. Someone in my guild told me about AoD, but to me that seemed more like a hit and run type of build. For PvE, the idea was to be able to sit in the center of mobs and do this over and over again until they died, when you first aggro (if you casted after you aggroed), you need quite a bit attention from monks, but after the first MS you pretty much are good (blind and weakness gives you a good bit of time to recast).
In PvP, without the self heal, I made myself seem as little a threat as possible... a derv walking around with a staff usually doesn't get much attention (which is generally the way I play in all PvP situations), once you go boom once, I either run or do it again.
As far as damage from MS, my main goal (at first) was conditions. I had a self heal and a rez signet until I realized channeling was exactly what I needed (2 energy gain, + energy from enemies in the area) for mirage cloak to work.
Thanks for the feedback ^.^
