Default Dervish Boss Farming Hard Mode

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on farming a dervish boss in hard mode solo. I am wanting some elite dervish tomes for my toons. I can kill all other classes in HM for tomes but dervish. Any ideas and thoughts would help greatly.

You can kill Haioss, the dervish boss in Fahranur, fairly easily with a 55 monk... I've gotten a few tomes off of him and that whole run is cake.

as far as elite derv tomes go, i usually get marobeh sharptail as part of my behemoth run, as a 150hp necro. SoA/Shielding hands, Dismiss condition, prot spirit, Spiteful spirit, Insidious parasite, balthazar's spirit, watchful spirit. 16 curses, 12 prot. you can also kill bubahl icehands with lots of 55hp builds, he's easy.

Bubahl Icehands may or may not be so easy depending on the spawn. His spawn contains zero to four Ridgeback Skales which use Agonizing Chop. I've found that a 105 necro with Spoil Victor can do the trick about 95% of the time, the remaining 5% going down to a Ridgeback successfully hitting the recast of Prot Spirit (darned super ninja reflexes ).

When I'm going 55hp and encounter some dervishes I'm always screwed as they use chilling victory that go right through prot. sprit... What's your trick?

Study up on that particular bosses' skills on guildwiki. ;-) If they got chilling vic, skip em coz it's just not worth it.

Otherwise? Batters up!

Strange, chilling victory shouldn't penetrate prot spirit. IIRC nothing that deals damage can penetrate it (barring some silly skills not such as the base defenders stuff), only life loss can
