Why doesn't this 130hp Dervish build work?
I made a 130hp Dervish, but I found that things moves too quickly for me, and I was no good at keeping up with the enchantments while at the same time attacking, so I decided to try making something a bit more automatic. I made this, and I think it should theoretically work, but whenever I use it, I die.
[skill]protective spirit[/skill][skill]eremite's attack[/skill][skill]mystic sweep[/skill][skill]reaper's sweep[/skill][skill]live vicariously[/skill][skill]mending[/skill][skill]balthazar's spirit[/skill][skill]essence bond[/skill]
Now, it may seem like there's too much mana degen, and there is (you have none), but you're able to work it so you have 30 mana going into a battle, then activate Protective Spirit, and you'll constantly get full mana due to Balthazar's Spirit and Essence Bond, so it works out. I thought mana management would be my biggest concern, but for some reason, I'm dying instead. Any suggestions as to what's wrong with it, or how I can improve it?

Essence Bond and Balthazar's Spirit is for e-management. Mystic Regen and Prot. Spirit is for staying alive. And finally, Mystic Vigor is your anti-spike. Just enchant up, and spam your attack skills, reapplying your enchantments when needed. The scythe of choice would be a Zealous *Insert favorite skin here* Scythe of Enchanting with 15% while enchanted.

Its like 55ing only not as effective or survivable.

My question is this. If you can't keep up with your stat bar and attack at the same time then why do you have a dervish character again? Coloneh is right though. 130 dervs are underwhelming, particularly if you have ever used the 55 monk or the 330 rit. My advice? Roll up a monk and a rit instead.

There are some niche areas where it can work better. However you are more or less right

You're dying because you don't have enough HP regen.
Mystic Regeneration is a MUST.

a 130 dervish only works under these specific conditions:
- 130 health or lower, the lower the better alsong as health > 1
- You do not get moral boost from killing something
- Are hititng at least 1 target, you can get killed if crippled and are being ranged by 1 or more ennemies
- Interupts are not too frequent
- Are not too heavily hexed. Hexes still hurt since you still have to attack, they can be bad
- Are not suffering from energy denial
130 dervish is mostly survivable against health degen and limited amount of damage beating down on you.

if you die on purpose once you'll go down to 58hp, much easier to stay alive (this only works in explorable areas with res shrines ofc, or if you have a friend with you)
if you die more than this experiment with your normal armor pieces without -hp
depending on dp and armor pieces you can have anything from 10-48-67-79-102-130 (and anything in between) ect... just experiment with it and see what happens :P
