My build (new dervish player)
Well, I finally woke up and created a dervish. Here is the build I have been running so far, and wow, I just tear the place up. I know alot of people says we shouldnt try to tank, and this was not my main aim with this build. I will explain my motivation on a bit...
1. Mystic Sweep
2. Eremites Attack
3. Zealous Renewal
4. Conviction
5. Mystic Regeneration
6. Armor of Sanctity
7. Veil of Thorns
8. Resurrection (can be swapped with something else if you want)
Purpose:
I created this build so that I could get the maximum benefit out of my H/H team. It really frustrated me trying to position myself to get 3 scythe attacks and decent AoE damage in. In the end I decided to create something so that I could flag away my heroes, get aggro, and then unflag when I have their full attention. Works like a charm
Use:
Flag heroes a good distance from the mobs. Right before you enter their aggro circle cast veil of thorns. Once in their circle, hit Conviction, and when they surround you cast Armor of Sanctity. Then unflag your heroes and hope they reach you before you die This should lower all damage received to manageable levels. I then cast Mystic Regenaration, and finally Zealous Renewal for some AoE damage. Zealous renewal serves as a decent cover enchant, and of course the energy gain is nothing to laugh at. You could probably swop it out for another AoE and use a Zealous Scythe instead.
Veil of Thorns is a real winner, as I normally use 2 ele heroes (SF and Meteor Shower) and a SS hero. With Veil of Thorns they die before they can get out of the scatter.
Nothing really groundbreaking in this build, and would enjoy to hear suggestions on how I can improve it.
EDIT:
A serious drawback of this, is that it takes a fair amount of micro management, and because your heroes are flagged away, any mistakes will probably give you 15% DP.
Note that I do not have any elite added. That is because I only have the Avatar's so far, and they are kinda meh imo.

The avatars aren't all too bad...
Lyssa + Eremite's and Mystic pwns face.
One I would recommend for this kinda build though, is Wounding Strike when you get it - you're always enchanted and so can spam DW everywhere, and it lets you easily get a condition on stuff for the Sanctity buff.

[skill=text]Vow of Strength[/skill] is available fairly early in the game, and if you'd be willing to part with your attack skills, its a huge boost to damage as well as giving you another enchantment for Mystic Regeneration.

Just remember to stay away from [skill]Avatar of Balthazar[/skill].
Alex brings up a good point. Wounding Strike is a great skill but needs a buff maybe +10 damage but that's just me. But we all know avatar of melandru+wearying strike=ownage

Ooh, actually... I'm quite fond of Wounding Strike where it is right now. DW on 3 second recharge is really strong as it is, followed up with Mystic & Eremite's, and the high base damage of the scythe...
You've got nearing a 300 damage (kinda... 3 scythe attacks and deepwound ) AoE spike on 4 second recharge, can get really nasty with Conjures or whatever thrown on top... Just a wee bit energy heavy if you're gonna spam it.
Powerful but... Well... Melandru is invincible, so it doesn't compare quite so well

using an avater is WAY better than no elite. even just adding AoB instead of conviction would improve your build.
