I have seen several invincible builds in PVP using Dervish as secondary, like Ele/D Monk/D and Necro/D where they take little or no damage. They are much like the old pre-nerf 55 monk builds in that respect.
In fact I am very afraid these idiots flaunting these builds are going to get the Dervish class nerfed in the same way the monks and ele's were back then with many pertinent skills rendered useless.
However I don't think any of those builds or a Dervish primary build would survive very long in FoW or Underworld as the Dervish side of the builds would have to be very enchant dependent. Anet deliberately placed many enchant swatters in both areas after the original 55 monk builds to make sure no one can use enchants in either, or at least with little success.

I had limited Success with the 130 Build in UW - I just gave up on trying to tweak it to make it work. I used VoS in place of Spell Breaker. And took extra Anti-KD and more Healing skills with me instead of attacks, and Let the SS Necro do the work. 55 is more efficient.
If you plan on Soloing FoW I think there was a build some people where using to Solo the Spider Cave. Never tried it I have no Idea how well it works.
There was an FoW build that used AoB and Conviction to tank and deal heap loads of damage to the undead running round there. IT was supposed to be used in place of a Warrior. I did use that a few times worked very well within the group. I tanked, SS and Ele's Nuked everything I was blocking Monks kept everything alive. I have no idea how this works now since the armor buffs don't stack anymore. If you want to search page by page I'm sure its still in here some where.

if you want to tank with an entire party use something like this, this is my general fow tank build, depending on the group i might tweak a thing or 2
[skill]eternal aura[/skill]
[skill]avatar of balthazar[/skill]
[skill]faithful intervention[/skill]
[skill]mystic vigor[/skill]
[skill]mystic regeneration[/skill]
[skill]vital boon[/skill]
[skill]mystic sweep[/skill]
[skill]fleeting stability[/skill]
i like Balthazar in FOW since you can really help deal dmg vs the undead army and since most PUGs dont have time to make it much farther then that it works quite well, also after the group disperses i can use that build to solo farm the beach when things are done with the group, it can kill the spiders but to get the right pull takes to long to even bother, i just kill the mesmers and warriors on the beach then map out, the build can work for chest running around after the party leaves, it is very versitile.
a 130derv build might be a better choice for UW but a 55 monk can do better than a 130 derv can imo
anyway that is a build that shuold get you started in FOW but tanking in fow is more then just the build, you have to know the patrols and where the pop ups are, for learning the fow tank strategy it might be good to find someone to teach you or just go into fow groups as one of the casters to learn where to go. good luck

please don't make another AoB tank to go into fow....
dervs arent meant for tanking, they do such great dmg!! if u try making a derv into a tank with 8 skills, u will do no dmg.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10149012
now u can tank aaaaaaaaaanything.. while dishing out enough damage to destroy 90% of mobs.
P.S dervs can't tank the aataxes.. they just hit too hard. way too hard. even the riposting of 3 kills a 130hp.

what is wrong with AoB holy dmg vs undead is fun, also can hit for 100+ easy on the Dragon Liches, that build doesnt have 8 tank skills it still does dmg and can easily hold an aggro on it own for a while. That build was to get him started as you improve you can easily swap out some skills for more dmg. It seems most PUG groups for FoW dont go much (if at all) past the undead army anyway so why not plan for that while still being able to finish up the rest of fow by doing some solo chest runs and even go solo the beach with that build.
if your group has a bonder then yes by all means drop some of the healing. Anyway, i still stand by the AoB in FoW and derv being a better tank in FoW then the warrior only cuz ive played both tanks in fow and after trying the derv i havnt gone back to a warrior in there. Warrior needs more healing and doesnt do dmg. derv also has the option of a variety of 2ndary skills too. The derv can tank using all derv skills and in a variety of ways, skill levels, and group variations. its a very versitle beast when you know how to play it.
But dont expect me to go off in a battle about what is better bla bla bla, i hate that so try the derv tank if you like it fine if not that is fine too, just have fun with what ever you do. gl!

AoB tanks are useless. try physical resistance. sure some enemies deal ele damage, but they are hard to farm anyways.

I meant that you have 8 skills to make a tank from, that dervish will not do any damage while being a great tank. does AoB make the 0s come flying up..?

everything. its a truly pathetic skill. i'm not even gona waste my time stating why. any good dervish will know why its so bad, and as u can't see it, well...
i love how every reason for using AoB "tank" *cough* in fow is "holy dmg vs undead"..wahey! how much of fow is undead tho? i'd rather do 100+ dmg vs everything in there.
[skill]Heart Of Holy Flame[/skill] there we go if you really need that holy dmg.
to the OP: if your team needs a tank in either of those places (especially fow), they're already doing something wrong.
