Can any expert derv runner out there give me tips on how to run through icedome? I know the basics and can easily do droks run and such, but icedome seems to be simply out of my reach.

The problem is that there is no safe place at all for me to recast my enchantments, and I have to keep vow up all the time else I'll eat a slow snare or a enchant strip. So basically once my mystic regen runs out (which isnt long thanks to the big nerf), I have to rely on faithful and watchful intervention to keep me alive, it allows me to run about 3/4 of the map before dying. I'm bringing pve skills like "I am unstoppble" as well, but its still not enough. I have about 550 hp and a shield & weapon with 20% enchant.

There are two videos i found on youtube that shows this run...one is a perma sf runner, which no longer works due to the nerfs, and another one with a derv that has very similar setup as mine. In the video, he recasts mystic regen before renewing vow, but whenever i try do that i eat a slow or degen hex, I dont know its just a luck thing or not, so I want to ask all you expert derv runners out there if there is a safe way to do this run.

[dwarven stability] + [dark escape]

The simplest thing is just to renew mystic regen everytime you renew VoS again. Dark Escape will help you live longer and sometimes you wont even need MR to stay alive through the run if you have both faithful and watchful.

Ice dome run is nearly impossible and definatly not worth the effort. VoS might be able to manage just keep up dark escape and mystic regen at all times.

I'm unaware of any nerfs, I use a perma sf build for farming in UW, and I can keep up SF indefinitely.

I don't know if its a glitch, but when I used a staff with 20% HSR with the chain, occasionally the AE would mess up.

Since I switched to a +5E/20%enchant sword and focus, I could keep up SF for hours if need be. The only thing to remember is when the recharge sweeps past the number in the bottom right corner, that's the point at which you activate the copy.

I've gone from 3 to 53 ectos in the last couple weeks of relaxed farming using a perma sf build in UW, so I don't see why a perma SF build would not work in Ice Dome. Have to be a Sin primary though.

Thanks for the replies, I can manage it now. I didn't bother with dwarven stability since I dont have max dwarf title, so I cant really keep up dark escape for long. Instead, I used pre-veil on top of Vow. Veil will buy me the precious extra half a second to renew my mystic regen, and serves as a last resort in case one hex manage to slip through. I also capped earth prayer to 13, so mystic regen nets +4 per enchantment. Its still a very difficult run compare to droks, but I can do it consistently now.

Echo shadow form still works, I used to use it in pvp

. But ever since deadly paradox nerf its very energy extensive. Also, it wont protect you against signet of judgement or traps. Renewing it constantly also make it a pain to run, so even though it may run ice dome, it wont be very effective for the run overall.
