Default Sand Shards?

After the nerf, is there any real use for [Sand Shards]? All I can find is combining it with [Signet of Midnight], but that seems like it isn't worth it compared to regular damage output.

Anyone have anything inovative?

The only real option besides signet of midnight is the assassin kurzick/luxon skill, but even with mystic corruption, even if it increased self-blind, it's not nearly long enough self-blind, making the only other option farming high-block foes. I was considering making a dervish raptor farmer using that, since they all used critical defenses... but even then, signet of midnight - epidemic - sand shards would be better to use.

Intentionally blinding yourself for like 24 damage with a scythe is bad. Scythe skills at 14 scythe mastery deal +20s... With a critical hit then G freaking G. But overall sand shards = useless simply because the damage you get from it is laughable at best.

It must've pwned back when it could be used for daggers.

Spamming a dual attack with an IAS was funny 80+ dps on 1 enemy with 3 dervs was funny.
