Its easiest just to use Ursan+You Move Like A Dwarf. When you get to Magni just keep knocking him down then run away, knocking down, runaway. Takes about 2 minutes to kill him this way.

I'd recommend Ebon Dust Aura and Mystic Regen for Magni. Your Rending Sweep does not have a hex to work off of, and Zealous Sweep is usually better when you hit more than one person.
Try:
[Wearying Strike][Mystic Sweep][Crippling Sweep][Signet of Malice][Disrupting Dagger][Expunge Enchantments][Mystic Regeneration][Ebon Dust Aura]
That should work. Take out Disrupting Dagger for Armor of Sanctity if you wish.

You guys make this too difficult.
[winds][ebon escape] 6 spells of your choice.
1. Cast winds.
2. Gate opens.
3. Target winds.
4. Walk through gate.
5. Gate starts to close.
6. Ebon Escape back to Winds spirit.
7. Cast spells until enemy is dead. Safely behind your wall.
The ONLY person this doesn't work against is the spirit spammer Rit. So if you should come up against him, don't do it, or you'll be forced to resign.
Why do this? No need for a self heal. The only class you need to worry about is caster classes with non-projectile spells. (aoes typically, just move out of the way of them)
This is by far the safest and fastest method of winning the tourney that I've found. Faster than the spirit spam version, less positioning involved, and works against all opponents EXCEPT one (which if you brought enough damage like you're supposed to, won't be an issue).
Edit: Wars and paras will have the hardest time doing this method due to energy regen issues.

so I am guessing my scythe attacks wont go through the wall... so I should grab a secondary like ele for spells that will activate through the wall? or I guess I could speck into smiting prayers for the attack spells

ok little update... this almost works, the problem is that many of the opponents will run to the other side of the arena were i cannot reach them... not good since I have to restart since I am stuck behind the wall

I have succesfully used the Winds, Ebon Escape approach. I'll attach the screenie. However, and I say however because there is a little issue with this approach as mentioned by wesman. Opponents DO indeed run to the other side of the wall. They seem to do this only once or twice though and instead of re-zoning to spend another 100g on trying again. Stick around hugging the wall facing the arena and wait....simple
It was happening to me a lot (the running away) and I was getting frustrated and started looking stuff up on the internet whilst still in the tourny, this meant that whilst fighting Razah (who runs away, as do; Alesia, Little Thom and Xandra in my experience) I stayed in tourny but started browsing for a couple of minutes. When I came back to GW, he was trying to out-stare me through the wall and seemed glued to it too. I had an easy time wiping him away with a load of Mez hexes. Same applied to Alesia, who will still run away but come back just as Razah did in the end.
I guess this approach is never going to win any speed records.....

For what its worth, using rit skills makes it a cake walk. So I used this on my derv.
[build=OgiiAyiMl5c2UOVN9NJXuLaTCA]
Just cast all the spirits in the doorway after its opened, agro the challenger and use the other skills as they recharge.

What about those of us who don't have Factions and can't use Rit skills? I've tried multiple times with Ursan and You Move Like A Dwarf as suggested and can't even get to Bison using just these skills. Any other suggestions, or am I just using this wrong?

Yes, I've got a full set of armor with runes/insignias. I generally run up to opponents, knock them down, throw on Ursan and do as much damage as I can with skills 1-3. While I can beat most opponents in this fashion, some (like Kahmu, or certain casters) will get my health down low and heal themselves and I can't keep up with them. There must be a better strategy than this!
I've also tried several Ebon Dust Aura builds to no avail (made it to M. Bison once but was defeated). I just want to get this over with! Any help would be appreciated.
