warrior for wild blow because it ALWAYS a crit which in scythes case is very effective and the backside to wild blow doesn't really affect derv's.

if you can't use PvE skills, i.e. AoHM, then use an ele secondary for conjure. if you can use PvE skills, take AoHM, Asuran Scan, and I am the strongest and don't worry about a secondary.

Whether you have PvE skills or not, /W still gives you Wild Blow, which is all kinds of good.

you'll never hear me say wild blow isn't a good skill. in fact i tend to go /warrior for wild blow and whirlwind attack, but you can only use it once every 8 seconds and with an IAS, a conjure will get you more DPS than the auto crit with wild blow. if you want to spike, however, there isn't a much better skill with a scythe than wild blow. i will say that AoHM with wild blow is amazing though.

The one thing you overlook with Wild Blow is the stance cancel, which is useful with those pesky Whirling Defense spamming rangers.

nah, i didn't overlook it. in fact i said i usually take wild blow and just for that reason. i just said you get better DPS overall with a conjure.

if you take aura of holy might, go /w for wild blow or just go /e for the conjure, this combined with other PvE skills should do major damage.

Your secondary isn't really going to affect your dps all that much...as others have said I would go with /w for wild blow since its a free critical and it removes annoying stances.
...for PvP you could go /E and use a conjure but in PvE Aura of Holy Might is queen.

If your only purpose in taking wild blow is for the insta crit (no stance using foes for instance) then you are better off running /A and taking [[Malicious Strike] for the crit and an extra +10dmg to boot making it a great skill to use as a follow up to [[Wounding Strike].
It also recharges faster than [[Wild Blow].

You could also target switch aswell to bypass the block, as long as the blocking isn't partywide or heavily prevelent. And in the scenario of mixed enchantments / stances that block, I'd rather take an A/W Ninja Axe with Wild Blow and Dark Apostacy!
