Dervish in PvP
Hello, I've been pvping with my dervish for a while, RA and AB, and even tough I'm 'okay' with the builds I've been using, can't find one I feel safe with. I usualy run:
For RA or whatever, D/W:
-Wounding Strike
-Crippling Sweep
-Wild Blow
-Victorious Sweep
-Heart of Fury
-Vital Boon
-Mystic Regeneration
-Res Signet
or AB, the same as above or this D/A:
-Wounding Strike
-Crippling Sweep
-Mystic Sweep
-Victorious Sweep
-Heart of Fury
-Deaht's Charge
-Vital Boon
-Mystic Regeneration
Don't feel like I need a res signet for AB... Anw, can anyome help put up a good pvp build? I always try to pack everything I want into 7-8 skill slots, damage, snare, hp, blocks, some block bypass and energy managment but I always end up getting something barely playable from scattering too many attribute points... So any tips would be apreciated, I don't know how to start or to go with

The only self heal that should get on a Dervish bar is Faithful Intervention, and you're also lacking a speedboost for people kiting. Yeah, people are bad and don't kite much in AB/RA but it heavily increases pressure in the long run and makes target switching easier. Not to mention you could use both an IAS and an IMS.
Basically, this bar pretty much rules them all out on Dervs:
Wounding Strike
Mystic Sweep
Chilling Victory / Lyssa's Assault / Eremites' Attack
Signet of Pious Haste / Enchanted Haste
Hex Breaker / Conjure X / Malicious Strike / Wild Blow
Attackers' Insight / Faithful Intervention
Heart of Fury
Res, Faithful or whatever you want.

I use a personal variant of the Wounding Strike Dervish, with Conjure frost and frigid armour.

Also with survivor/sup vigor rune - the runes you use are all personal preference.
Make sure if you are running this build, you have an ICY scythe mod

Thanks for your help. One question tough, why only Faithful Intervention as a self heal? That won't help me much with a 2 second cast as a mid battle heal, and it won't heal me for that much as well. I found Mystic Regen with other enchants to keep it up can be very useful specially when I can't rely on a monk to heal me, if I even have one anywhere near me.

I personally think Faithful Intervention is garbage...by the time it kicks in its almost certainly to late to save you from being killed. There's never been an instance in PvE or PvP where I said wow thank the gods I had Faithful Intervention on my bar. The only thing it's good for is to perma enchant you for stuff like enchanted haste...but I wouldn't put a useless skill on my bar just for that.

Mystic Regen stinks in healing, and you need 2+ enchantments on you for it to be useful. Vital Boon + Watchful Intervention is more practical.
Anyway if it was up to me, I will drop out Vital Boon and Victorious Sweep for Attacker's Insight and Chilling Victory. That way you can afford to spam your attack skills.

I run this template in RA and TA, it works really well (very basic and easy to use) :
OgalsgpqqtKs7IAeGtTy9/l5OgBw
12+2 - Scythe Mastery
8 - water magic
9+1 - wind prayers
5+1 - mysticism
[Resurrection Signet][Conjure Frost][Frigid Armor][Attacker's Insight][Crippling Sweep][Mystic Sweep][Chilling Victory][Wounding Strike]

Well, I've running this now:
Wounding Strike
Wild Blow
Chilling Victory
Mystic Sweep
Heart of Fury
Attacker's Insight
Enchanted Haste
Natural Healing
I droped Watchful Intervention because it wasn't such a great help in the middle of a battle. Tryed Natural Healing, well it might not be the best, but I still find it more practical as an 'on demand' healing. The -5 energy while enchanted doesn't become such a problem since I always have Attacker's Insight up to fuel Enchanted Haste.
Now, anyone thinks that running NH is a bad idea?
And something that really leaves me scratching my head, is why doesn't anyone ever used Victorious Sweep. Srsly, a +33 damage bonus and +84hp on a 4 second recharge attack. I honestly like it and for the love of god can't see why doesn't anyone use it be it pvp or pve... Any idea?
Also, I'm not so big on a D/E, I like conjure yes, but I end up loving Wild Blow a lot more... It's just too useful, more than a damage bonus. Especially when every sin/ranger has a shitload of blocking stances, I love seeing them raising those stances, and with one hit, I bring all down to kill them in 5 seconds or so. BUT... I'm gonna give that build a try, used to run it in my warrior.

If your secondary is free on a Wounding Strike bar, go with Malicious Strike. It's alot better than Wild Blow when you switch targets and allows you to bring a shadowstep.

The extra +10dmg really goes nice with the auto crit. And WS is perfect for meeting the req of the skill anyway. For self heals on a derv in AB i like to run natural healing. This is the build i usually run.
[build prof=D/A sha=3 scy=12+1+1 win=9+1 mys=9+1][Wounding Strike][Chilling Victory][Malicious Strike][Natural Healing][Harrier's Haste][Heart of Fury][Attacker's Insight][deaths charge][/build]
