Yeah, non-issue. I have 80 armor for all intents and purposes on each piece of armor since I have Blessed Insignias. (They were cheap. >_>)
Plus, Attacker's Insight has proven to damned useful. I'd run out of energy hella quickly without it. Anyhoo, I'm not a tank, so, armor boosts aren't going to help me fulfill my roll any better, which is to kill stuff as quickly as possible. I mean, I can always get prot enchants and heals on me if I'm in any danger, and I tend to be careful regardless.
Oh, and I've settled on Rending Touch for my final slot, methinks. It's situational, but it has been extremely useful in the situations where I needed it.
So, the build's looking like:
Dervish/Warrior:
Mysticism: 12+1
Scythe Mastery: 12+1
Wind Prayers: 3+1
Skills:
Wounding Strike
Mystic Sweep
Wild Blow
Distracting Strike
Attacker's Insight
Heart of Fury
Rending Touch
Sunspear Rebirth Signet

I'm certainly not going to say I'm right on this because it's a legitimate question, but why the Sunspear Signet instead of normal Res Signet? I know that the revived person will get more energy past rank 3 of Sunspear, but as an upfront person I don't want whoever I revived - for example, a monk - being drawn into the battle. I've always used the Rebirth Sig on midliners and then normal res sigs on my upfront characters.

Eh, I never really thought about it like that, honestly. It's not the most tactical way of working, but, I always tend to throw up my SRS whenever someone of importance dies and that's that. Not really any thinking going on, there.

Then why not take AoHM and/or Asuran scan? They are powerful even at low ranks if you don't wanna grind.
You're just gonna end up ripping your HoF or attacker's insight. Giving rip enchant to a necro is better.

Actually, I don't think anyone mentioned Asuran Scan in the topic. I'm curious as to how much Asura rep you get by just going through the EotN campang, and if it's enough to make Asuran Scan worthwhile. If it's enough, then that's definitely a winner. But AoHM is a no-no, since I'm fairly sure Rank 1 Kurzick or Luxon requires 100,000 faction, and that's still too much of a grind for me. This character only exists so I can cap all of the Nightfall elites that I need for PvP and to buy all of the Nightfall skills in general, so, I'm not going to grind for a character I'm going to abandon in a week or so.
Anyhoo, I only use Rending Touch really at the start of a fight when I'm fighting enemies I know throw up enchants, since I've noticed that NPCs don't really bother to recast them.

Going through the normal storyline picking up shrine bonuses along the way usually gives me rank 3 in each title, then whoever I give the Hero's Handbook to jumps to rank 5. At rank 3 you're already doing over 50% more damage, and tbh rank 1 is more than good enough for me to like it.
It is inferior (IMO) to AoHM though since you have to reapply it to whichever foe you're hitting instead of the constant buff of AoHM. But if you refuse to use it, then Asuran Scan is definitely a winner.
BTW unless you're trying to stock up on Zkeys or something it seems like you might be better off just buying a few key skills then unlocking everything else through faction.

If you're going to abandon this character in a week I don't see how this is even worth serious discussion, frankly.
And I mentioned Asuran Scan in the third reply; there's pretty much no reason not to use it, whether you intend to grind or not.

I just like performing my best, I suppose.
This is totally off-topic, but, are you a Guilty Gear fan by any chance? That's what your name is leading me to believe, anyways.

Ive made up so many nice builds with dervish, great for PvE, never PvP tested them though.
One im really proud of is my new Avatar of Dwayna Toxic Shock Derv Build using the claws of the broodmother. pretty sure i can find a better pair of daggers, but it was just thrown together.
