AoL Attack Spammer Build Quesion
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:D/...Attack_Spammer
I want to know why a Zealous Scythe (Drok's Reaoer) in this case would be better than a scythe with 20/20 Armor penetration. Im using this build as a build for MOX but I dont know which Scythe would be better and whether I should go for the Mysticism Rune or Scythe Mastery since I cant change between the two on a hero.

You've got a lot of energy being taken up by enchantments, and a zealous scythe snathe is great energy management. Zealous Renewal is horrible BTW, it does nothing until the battle is over then yay, energy! That really needs to be pitched in favor of just about anything else possible.
Personally if I were taking that build on a hero, I'd run 12+1+1 Scythe, 12+1 Mysticism, 3+1 Wind, dropping Zealous Renewal and Conviction for Faithful Intervention (kinda crap, but heroes can handle it) and Attacker's Insight. With that combo you could probably use the 20/20 and not have energy issues.

1.- Usually dervishes have problems managing their energy, especially heroes. 20/20 damage is negligible and, at most, questionable on a dervish, even more a hero.
2.- Scythe Mastery rune.
3.- Heroes can't keep Avatarts 24/7 so they're kinda bad for them.
4.- Melee heroes fail at positioning.
5.- Zealous Renewal sucks.

Zealous is the shiz...dervs do enough dmg without that 20/20 crap that's for some reason extremely popular...by hitting 3 enemies you're gaining a bonus 3e per second...aka awesome e management(which is needed to spam Radiant scythe on AoL)

1. zealous mods keep your attacks going without pausing for auto-attacks.
2. sundering is terrible on every weapon. the only reason to ever use it is coordinated spikes for a chance to push the damage up a notch on one swing.
3. scythe rune. always push weapon up as much as possible without using a superior rune.
4. heroes fail at melee. they dont have decent targeting or pathing AI, i wouldnt even bother.
5. Avatars on heroes are just like avatars before they added eternal aura: TERRIBLE.
6. that build kinda sucks. its missing AoHM and it has zealous renewal and conviction, both are a waste of energy.
so.... what alf said

I would run an arcane zeal D/N order support instead of a melee one for the MoX quests.

This should be in heroes instead, but I generally don't like avatars. I agree that energy management sucks.
I was curious, would anyone have any suggestions on how to make a good heavy hitting dervish hero that wouldn't have energy management issues? Zealous renewal seems to be in every hero build but they don't use it effectively until their energy is down to like 5 or 10 it seems.
There are 2 pvx wiki builds up for heroes which I copy from being lazy, but it would be nice to see some improvements since dervishes seem to be the only melee ai worth having (besides hammer wars/ scythe wars).

All builds have Zealous Renewal 'cause people in PvX don't know what good energy management is about.
I don't know if heroes use it well, but Zealous Vow is pretty awesome as e-management.
Using Attacker's Insight and ocasionaly microing it is just better. And a zealous scythe of course.
