Dying with 130hp build...am I bad?
All right, my build is the basic build for the 130hp D/Mo found on pvxwiki, everything as the guide says, minus the scythe recommended. I have a Suntouched Scythe from Halloween +15% damage and unable to mod, currently looking for a Zealous snathe, and enchant grip.
I start off my runs as per the guide, since I'm new at this (First lvl 20) keeping my enchantments up, but it seems everywhere I go I still die, no matter what mobs they are, and this is normal mode. What am I doing wrong? Like I said enchantments are up, spamming attacks on recharge and I can't seem to beat anything.
Is this build better in hard mode and I should just H/H through normal?

That's a farming build and isn't recommended for general PvE use. Farming builds can generally only be run in specific areas.
Just use whatever skills and make a sensible build. That'll get you through NM fine.

The 130hp Derv is really a farming build. I've used it near Nundu Bay in NF and it works but you have to really be on your toes (or fingers more likely) to keep your enchantments up. It's a good build to solo spiders on the Plains of Jarin and Termites and even the skale. But I wouldn't use it for general PVE as Xenomortis said.

i agree with all the above. plus quite a lot of the time when trying out a new build u may need to get used to it first. just try a few different ones and see what suits you best. i know ive gone thru at least 4 or 5 to find one i like

When using PvXwiki, make sure to read the whole article such as what the build has been designed for, general description of the build, Attributes and Skills, Equipment, Usage, Counters, Variants, Notes, Tips, See Also, and External Links.

thats a farming build. A pretty bad one to. try a normal build for normal play.

1. The zealous scythe really helps. It gives you a good amount of energy if you are having problems. The enchanting mod also takes some pressure off you by lengthening the time you have to recast.
2. Don't just go with what PvX says. Study the types of skills your target(s) are using and make a build that fits.
3. Make sure the mobs you are facing don't have enchantment removal. Also, make sure they don't have heavy degen because that can kill you.
4. Don't aggro too many enemies at once. If too many enemies are hitting you, they will overwhelm your regen and you will die.
5. Avoid enemies with interrupts and knockdowns. Both of these can stop you from casting your vital enchantments and can kill you.
6. Dying once on purpose can bring your health down to 58, giving you a better chance of survival.
7. When aggroing small mobs, consider doing the farm in Hard Mode. The faster these enemies attack you, the more energy you gain. I know this kinda contradicts number 4, but youll have to find the perfect balance between high energy and survival.
Once again, vary your build. When farming bosses, I use a build that looks something like this:
[Protective Spirit][Mystic Regeneration][Shield Of Absorption][Asuran Scan][Radiant Scythe][Reaper's Sweep][Essence Bond][Balthazar's Spirit]
Radiant scythe gives a nice high damage (only use with full energy, which shouldnt be a problem), while Reaper's sweep just pwns. Those 2 combined with asuran scan and you will be taking down bosses in no time.
Happy farming!
EDIT: Just saw the last sentence. This is a farming build, used for farming enemy mobs and bosses solo. Therefore, the only way for this build to work is if all the enemies are attacking you (you gain lots of energy that way). If you are just trying to do normal PvE, Pug (yes i said it, new players dont have the best heros so they have to pug) or H/H it, and go with a normal dervish build, preferably something that has to do with [Avatar of Lyssa]. (uber damage)

Sorry but this must be said: lol fail.
Okay Dervishes when not farming(should be ALWAYS farm with a sin or something) can stack hp, utilize attacks that lower your opponent's hp drastically(wounding strike) and punish them for it(chilling victory, victorious sweep, stuff like that). Then you'll own.
PS dont forget an IAS! heart of Fury is recommended ^^

I had this problem for a while. i found that if you die first then you can do much better. due to the very low amount of damage, its no good against large mobs of low levels(raptors etc.), as it has no effect and it can get you killed if you get too confident. p.s. why do i go down to 88 health from 160 when its only -15% dp.
