IMO farming is just the exploitation of an area in pve, where the monsters are easy to kill with a certain set of skills...of course in any game farming builds and areas will indirectly be nerfed...when developers put a certain area like the raptor cave in the game..i dont think they say 'ok we're putting this area here so people can farm these monsters with ___ skills" or with any area...and as the game changes and skills on monsters/players are changed you can expect the farming situation to change.

the best thing you can do as a farmer is be able to adapt to the changes in the game and always find a way to exploit an area in pve to make easy money..theres always a way. so it sucks your favorite farm area isnt as do-able with your derv now..move on and get a new spot and/or a new build. no big deal. any competitive mmo with constant patches is survival of the fittest (in pvp and pve), you need to be flexible to stay on top of the game.

I'm quite excited about Armor of Sanctity. With the amount of raw healing Dervishes have, would AoS+Physical Resistance be able to tank Aatxes? 66% damage reduction on auto-attack plus ~17 damage reduction seems to be quite viable.

Bleh...they turned Sand Shard into yet another DoTAoE skill...useless. And here I was hoping they will tweak all those crappy fire DoTAoE skills so that they can finally do something against HM PvE monsters, and they decide to add another one to dervish -.-

On the other hand all those earth prayers buff turned dervs into super tanks in PvE, I can finally be comfortable in letting them be in the front with the wars against stuff like aataxes...now if only they do the same thing with sin's shadow art (except SF of course)

Now why would I do that with the new conviction? Especially with it being in the same line as AoS, so no need to unnecessarily split the att pts.

The problem here is that dervs have to sacrifice killing power (which is the typical and most effecient use of the scythe) for these new super tank skills. I think the reason they were buffed so rediculously much is because even with decent tanking skills it was more beneficial to the team to take that killing power. Now it seems stupid to NOT take conviction.

Its a shame theres simply not enough room on the skillbar for a nice synergy of great killing and these super tank skills.

These updates didn't help Dervs get their spots back in PvE after being replaced by W/D's and A/D's. My Derv will continue being a mule =/
