Improving my PvE D/W begginer build
Hello,
I have recently leveled my dervish to level 20, now I am at the "Going to Vabbi" part of NF campaign.
I would be very gratefull if you help me to improve my PvE build, 'cause I think it's very...ehm...bad :-D.
Here it is:
<pvxbig>
[build prof=D/? scy=10 earthp=10 mys=11][Vow of Strength][Mystic Sweep][Pious Assault][Twin Moon Sweep][Grenth's Fingers][Heart of Holy Flame][Vital Boon][Signet of Capture][/build]
</pvxbig>
EDIT.: Oh, this pvx doesnt work... ...but you can still read it, can't you?
(I have +1 Scythe Mastery on head armor)
Equip:
max armor, Scythe (9-41, +10% DMG, +20% DMG)
Very important thing for you, who wants to help me, is that I don!t have acces to all skils in the game. Like I said, I am at the "Going to Vabbi" part of NF, I can visit skillmaster in Hall of Monuments but that's all. I have all expansives. I have two elite skills - VoS and AoG.
I think that biggest problem of my build is no effective heal.
So, what do you think? This is my first time in this game...what should I improve, what skills should I get and where? What EQUIP (runes, etc.) should I get and where (I really don't know) ?
Thanks a lot.
P.S.: I can also unlock one non-elite skill (cause I played a little PvP), so you can count with it (but say what skill should I unlock please)

The first one is a basic guide for Dervishes, and gives you a few generic but effective builds, and the second is a guide on how to properly use heroes. The rest of Nightfall shouldn't be a problem if you employ what you learn in these guides.
Oh and unlocking a skill won't get it on your dervish, only your heroes and PvP characters will have access to it.

Thanks a lot, I will read them.

Your build is fine for the early levels and such, I'd drop Vital Boon for Intimidating Aura, you have to rely on your henchmen/heroes to do the healing for the most part. Make sure to take one specialized healer, general builds can be found on PvX look for monk builds(especially UA monks) but these usually require prophecies elites, or look at the Necro/Rit healing build, which mostly requires Kaineng Center skills(which you can get easily since that's the first place you get to when you go to Factions zone as a non factions char).
One skill you want is Heart of Fury, you can get it in Command Post(or Chantry of Secrets with hero points), it increases your damage A LOT. Drop Mystic Sweep, you only need Pious Assault as a normal attack especially if you have 2 feeding flash enchants.
Also you could replace Grenth's Fingers with Staggering Force, even though I don't know how much Cracked Armor helps in normal mode.
Finally for the weapon, look into getting a Zealous prefix mod, it's extremely useful for a Dervish. A perfect Of Enchanting suffix mod is also generally very good(+20%duration on enchants) but less necessary in my opinion.

If you really want to be effective in high-mobs area, Get a Vow Of Strength
build from here :
http://www.gwpvx.com/Build/W_PvE_VoS_Dervish
I'd get those skills.
The 100+ Bonus in armor is really good.
It's overpowered though o.o

I don't quite agree with the pvx VoS build, it has too many adrenaline skills in my opinion, you can never fully utilize the build unless you ball EVERYTHING and it lives for extended periods of time. If you take SY!, you pretty much can't afford more than one other adrenaline skill unless you also pick heavy adrenaline gains abilities(a necro feeding you adrenaline via the 2 blood skills for example, or balthazar spirit from a smite monk and you actually tanking stuff). Whirlwind attack in that setup becomes useless. It's a good build for grouping with people, not so good when 7Hing stuff.
Otherwise it's a definitely good setup but I wouldn't call it a newb setup, getting SY! alone takes quite a while since you need to progress the faction primary up to befriending luxons and farm 53k rep(you do get 20ish from the quests up to that point though). Without factions hard mode(which involves finishing it), you're still looking at a few clears of the zones for no added benefits like VQs, so yeah. You can be fine playing without SY! with a regular build like he has for normal mode/campaign clearing.
Also VoS/sand shards shines when you bother balling stuff. If you don't want to, or it's not adequate(like most VQs), it's not that great of a build. When I do DoA or Slaver's I setup pulls, ball stuff and blow it up, but when I do random VQ #74, I can't be bothered, I just want to run into stuff and kill it, and VoS/sand shards do a pretty poor job of that.

I don't use the exact same build as the PvX says.
You just told the reason ''Too Much Adrenaline skills''
I use energy based skills, with only SY as an adrenaline dependent
skill.
