~A Nice & Simple Assassin Build~
Skills
Aura of Displacement (Elite), Golden Phoenix Strike, Horns of the Ox, Falling Spider, Twisting Fangs, Sprint, Healing Signet, Resurrection Signet.
Weapon
I recommend a perfect Zealous Dagger of Fortitute, but you may use any dagger you feel comfortable with.
Usage
As usual you AoD in followed by The Combo, and AoD out after killing your target or under heavy fire.
Why Sprint and not Dark Escape?
Sprint recharges faster and will not end even if you attack, also useful for chasing down enemies or running.
Healing Signet?
With 8 points in tactics using it heals 100HP in 2 secs, it has no Energy cost and has very short recharge time. Compared with Shadow Refuge which heals 8-9HP per second for 4 seconds, I would say Healing Signet would be a wiser choice as a self heal for an assassin.
So far this build had served me well in PvE and some occasional PvP, I hope it helps my fellow assassins out there as well.

Very very similar ideas to my build, hehe, but i usually equiped with 2 sup runes with sup vigor and fortitute daggers too. For the armour, I use the armour that gives me extra health, so I add up with 445 Health, same as yours, but less energy. Tough I have critical strikes 13, meaning every critical i hit, i get 3 energy per hit rather than 2.
I use healing signet tooo, I think they great course yes, faster recharge time, heals alot more, and most importantly, it cost no energy.
Thats one of the build I use for PVP, but for PVE, i perfer to start of with Palm strike, than the horns of ox, falling spider than twisting fangs, with benttoi defences (great skill, recharge very quick in a fight, and cost no energy), healing signet, return (emergency escape, click on a member on the party list and press return immediatly) and ress signet. Same really

problem with healing signet is, if someone decided to attack you while using signet then you can and WILL die considering the sever lack of armor when activating it, the only reason tanks can pull off a signet is that they still have a reasonable amount of armor when activating it, assassins will have little to none.

i really like how so many people are joining the "ASSASSINS HOW REALLY LOW ARMOR CRAZE" when they DO (yes, its true!) have the same base AL of rangers. How many monks do you see screaming and complaining about wasteing energy and time healing rangers?

None as Rangers have some of the best damage mitigation ingame.

healing sig net really hurts when it brings your assassin down to 30 ish armor. maybe bring a shield with 16 AL to switch to when using that skill (lots of micro - XD ).
Even then you shadow refuge was a back up enchant incase you wanted to hit someone w/ golden phoenix.
because of the increased cost of the golden phoenix strike, I've started considering using a +5 energy dagger when pulling off this combo.

why would you use HS when under attack... ?
i'm guessing that's the point of AoD in this build... he shadow steps in does his combo... maybe stays for a bit and wacks away at stuff... soon as he starts taking dmg AoD out of there and heal up...

Sighs, cant you lot read in my post, lol I said 1 healing spell, and 1 manavure spell, which is "return" for me, shadow stepping, a good range, 20 second recharge time, 5 energy... encrypt uses sprint, which is not bad etheir, same recharge and energy cost, and runs 8 seconds faster!

Base armor doesn't display the entire picture:
1) Rangers attack at range (unless they are touch rangers, and these are still nasty).
2) Rangers get +30AL vs. elemerntal attacks (effective 100AL vs elements), so they're pretty safe from most directed elem spikes.
3) Ranger have plenty of dodge/evasion stances.
4) Rangers have Troll Ungent, which cannot be disenchanted or interrupted with anti-spell interrupts since it is a non-spell, non-enchantment skill.

peronally I just umm don't get damaged I pick out a secluded target kill it and run, or I use way of perfection to keep my health up. IMO assassins need more self heals.
