Collection of useful Assassin Builds
A list of assassin builds I've ran in GvGs and in Alliance Battles. Hope you enjoy.
Build1:
A/Me
Golden Phoenix
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Distortion//Dark Escape
Aura of Displacement
Res Sig//Shadow Refuge
Attributes:
15 Daggers
13 Critical Strikes
x in Shadow Arts depending if you are using it
enough in Illusion so that Distortion is only -2 energy... dont remember the exact
The build is can be very versatile in the fact that it can gank and be a team player.
Build2:
A/Mo
Golden Phoenix
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Contemplation of Purity
Aura of Displacement
Shadow Refuge
Res Sig//Dark Escape
Attributes:
15 Daggers
13 Critical
7 Shadow
Extremely similar build to the build1 except it is more geared towards being able to fend off conditions and hexes, and is the only assassin build that can easily destroy an Air E/Mo flag runner with the right technique.
Build3:
A/Me
Golden Phoenix
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Arcane Echo
Shadow Form
Dark Escape//Res Sig
Shadow Refuge//Death Charge
Attributes:
16 Daggers [superior rune used]
12 Shadow [superior rune used]
9 Critical
This build relies heavily on a short burst tactic of 40 seconds of near invincibility to 20 seconds of near death, perfect for ganking or running flags past an entire team being unharmed. The build can fight in a team but requires a lot of coordination with monks dealing with when shadow form ends and the energy required to keep the assassin up after it ends.
---------
Alliance Battle Builds:
Build 4 I only posted on another forum and don't plan to give it out here seeing as I rather not be in a team with other assassins running the build and not understanding it because its a fairly stupid, suicidal build in the first place although it delivers nice damage.
Build5[3 just modded]:
Golden Phoenix
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider
Twisting Fangs
Arcane Echo
Shadow Form
Dark Escape
Shadow Refuge
Attributes:
16 Daggers [superior rune used]
12 Shadow [superior rune used]
9 Critical
This build is perfect for taking upon the characters name and having the ability to assassinate key targets in large groups without dying, such as Minion Masters. Shadow Form offers protection against everything except touch rangers, so running into large groups of 8 and killing 1 target and running should be easy to perform. The build is also capable of taking any points (except Elementalist points; due to Tenai's Wind spamming) and is a great decoy for mesmers, necros and other targets to attack you while your team can safely chase after their monk.
---------
Random Arena Builds
All builds listed above generally work well here.
---------
Any questions you can either PM me in game [I Kenshin Himura I] or post here.

GPS>HoO>FS>TF AoD, res sig + 2 other skills
Its the only build for any assassin in any given situation. The class needs an major overhaul.

its either gps>HoO>FS>TF or the occasionaly BLS and things like that but rarely.
Never do you see assasins in your group yelling. "I'm using Dancing Daggers" "I'm using Crippling Dagger" "I'm using all deadly arts"
as of now hoO FS and TF are basicly the 3 skills in every assasin. Orders may be changed around but it is basicly set

ROFL, right now I'm using FS and TF, but HotO is nowhere near my build, I prefer something a little less 'conditional' such as Iron Palm. Throw in assassins promise and you've got a fairly repeatable combo

problem with assassin's promise is (for gvgs) it gives away your target and is removable, so aod is more perfered.
