Default Deadly art assassin build

A/*

Deadly arts: 16 ( 12+3+1)
Shadow arts:12 or more

Siphon Speed
Dancing Daggers
Entangling Asp
Signet of toxic shock( or Enduring Toxin)
Shameful fear
Deadly Paradox
Siphon Strenght
Feigned Neutrality

This build is for support and works very good at AB and 1 vs 1 battles
Like you see, melee attacker can't hit you and tactic is to run, put hex on target so he run for you, when target is running poison him, signet of toxic,a little more dancing daggers and target is dead.
With this build melee can't kill you,I owned many of them, they funiest thing is when there 3-4 of them are trying to catch you and then they are killed 1 after 1....

This build is good to help some1 in trouble...Siphon Strenght...Siphon Speed....

I play a lot of 1 vs 1 and AB battles,so my builds are for them

Sounds ok. For AB and 1vs1 no res is fine I guess.

A couple comments on this

How about DA as in

Dagger mastery:10+2
Da:12+3+1
SH: everthing else, you should have about 8

enduring toxic since it synerges well with shameful fear and entangling, signet of toxic shock isnt needed, may just be me but take out either siphon speed for Crippling dagger (since you have shameful fear I suppose your hoping they move anyways right?) or if you went into DA, add wildstrike/fox fangs and then horns of the ox in place of endure toxin or siphon strength

of course this isnt my build -_- sorry for critisizing T_T
blah scratch all that...and just add crippling dagger somewhere instead of siphon

I run a similar build, but I don't know HOW you are dealing with energy?

Here's what I use in 1v1:

Deadly Paradox
Disrupting Dagger
Dancing Daggers
Crippling Dagger
Entangling Asp
Signet of Toxic Shok
Channeling
Energy Drain [E]

The last two are pretty crucial for e-management, I use E-Drain whenever it recharges, usually on Monks first and then Mesmers, since Necros get Soul Reaping and Eles have high energy anyways. And Channeling since most of the time you're at half range, by staying closer to the enemy, you get a little bit of energy back. Although I'm considering using Power Drain instead of Channeling, that way I'm not vulnerable to enchant removal/damage.

1 tip for energy problem:

cast spells when you need cast them

if your target don't move don't cast SF,don't cast Siphon strenght if you don't need

use skills for that what you need and what you can do

Here is the deadly art build I made and have been using in AB for a few days now :

Critical Strikes: 10 (9+1)
Dagger Mastery: 9 (8+1)
Shadow Arts: 6 (5+1)
Deadly Arts: 15 (12+3)

Black Lotus Strike (Critical Strikes)
Black Spider Strike (Dagger Mastery)
Twisting Fangs (Critical Strikes)
Impale (Deadly Arts)
Signet of Toxic Shock (Deadly Arts)
Siphon Speed (Deadly Arts)
Shroud of Silence [Elite] (Deadly Arts)
Feigned Neutrality (Shadow Arts)

It is excellent in 1v1 situation against a caster since you can completely shut him down and prevent him to escape with Siphon Speed. The 5 skill combo is actually quite powerful and should drop any caster during the 10 seconds blackout of Shroud of Silence.

So far I only ran into 1 monk(blessed escaper) that could survive this build, but he had to keep spamming Blessed Light and Dark Escape, effectively rendering him next to useless to his team.

You can even kill blindbots by timing SoS with their bflash/bsurge.

Just make sure to use Siphon Speed before SoS to avoid the self spell disabling effect of SoS.

hm,it is ok build,but....evade,block?
I am trying to make build which can't be blocked or evaded.
Your build is very good against caster, but against melee? 1 miss with attack and you are dead assassin....1 assassin who unsuspecting attack you,you are dead.
Again,very good build,against casters!

Evade and Block is a problem, but to be honest, I don't run into stance build all that much and when I do I just Siphon Speed them and let my allies take care of them.

This build can kill some melee however. It can make short work of the all too popular HB/HH wammo. It can also be devastating against enchant heavy Dervish and kill assassin by preventing them to heal and/or hide behind Feigned Neutrality. Usually when an assassin jumps me I just use Feigned Neutrality and let him waste his combo on me.

But yeah, you can't be good against everything. :P

Yeah thanks, I understand that NOT casting spells means you deal with energy quite well...

But seeing as how you'll want to contribute to a team, and you know, do damage, you'll basically be spamming Dancing Daggers and Entangling Asp under Deadly Paradox.

With no zealous, no benefit from Critical Strikes, and no inherent e-management skills, you'll run dry really quickly in a protracted fight if you plan to actually contribute.

Well, you are wrong...try build and you will see.
If you have problems, you can always be A/Mo,put 9 points in healing prayers, take off-hand item +12 energy, and problem is bye-bye!

I use a very similar build, but I use the 2 DA signets in it, and base my elite on Signet of Midnight,

Signet of M
Dancing Daggers
Entangling Asp
Signet of Toxic Shock
Signet of Blinding something...(at work, can't see the skills, will edit at home)
Signet of Malice(drops blind off yourself.)
Shadow's refuge
(Whatever Skill spot)

I have 16 in DA, and spread out the others. Sometimes 10 in Dagger, and 10 in Shadow, or what ever. It works pretty well, but not well enough to use it alot. I usually go with Empty palm assassin with DA, that works a lot better. More dmg much faster.

Interesting build. It lacks a bit of damage for my taste though.

Ok,here is a better 1 deadly arts assassin build:

A/E

Air Magic: 9
Deadly Arts: 16 (12+1+3)
Shadow Arts: 9 or more

Build: Dancing Daggers
Blinding Surge
Entangling Asp
Signet of Shadows
Signet of Toxic Shock
Deadly Paradox
Feigned Neutrality
Optional

What can be optional: Res
for AB it can be Shameful Fear,Discrupting
Dagger,Dark Escape...

Weapons: Insinghtful Air Staff of Fortitude (Energy +4,with staff it is +14
energy,Health +29,Damage +15% while in a Stance) or any other
your choise,I use this

Rune: Rune of Superior Vigor(optional),Rune of Superior Deadly Arts,Rune of
Major Shadow Arts(optional),2X or 3X Rune of Attunement

Usage: Do I need say that? Blind melee, kill them...BLIND RANGER( now you
will kill Ranger,I hate their Blind,discrupting,block,evade...now they
are the easiest to kill )
1 TIP: if you see wammo or Dervish with Enchaments on them, and
they are with group,Blind them, you will blind all ( Sometimes, there are
4 melee on me,but they are all blind )

If you have question,ask

An "optional" rune of superior vigor. Nice.

The optional rune. It's not optional, it's mandatory!

Almost every assassin uses this build now in RA.

Build: Dancing Daggers
Blinding Surge
Entangling Asp
Signet of Shadows
Signet of Toxic Shock
Deadly Paradox
Feigned Neutrality
Optional

It's really annoying.
