Could anyone with an Elonian-born Monk who has NOT done the "Assault on Beknur Harbor" quest already tell me if it is possible / profitable to repeatedly 55 the mini-mission in Hard Mode?

I have my reasons to suspect it might be given that:

#1. It is relatively easy to take down large Skale groups in Fahranur with a Mo/D ... so I have found. I don't see why these ones should be any different.
#2. A LOT of loot is dropped even in normal mode with a full party. I have every reason to believe that if Mo/D'ed in hard mode, it would be an easy inventory-fill.... with the extra loot screen after the mini-mission too.

Since my monk is Canthan though, the only way she could hope to manage it would be to help someone else with the quest (who happens to be level 20) and somehow convince them to stay at the back of the village (in Hard Mode) and let her do all the killing. It isn't very likely to happen.

... Hmm....

I've never considered it a particularly severe threat.... personally.

I mean... the Ridgeback Skales in Issnur Isles aren't really different to those in Fahranur... are they? I've taken on the BIG group of Skale Lashers and Ridgebacks without breaking a sweat, though it does take a while.

And no matter if Protective Spirit or that Dervish regen skill are interrupted once or twice. Their recharge is a lot shorter than their duration. Interrupting Shield of Judgement would just be irritating, but hardly fatal.
Only Shield of Absorption might possibly be a problem... but if you manage to get it up beforehand and whack them with Shield of Judgement before it falls down, the knockdowns and scatter typically are enough to keep you alive long enough to reapply it. Don't forget that having a Deep Wound actually HELPS a 55-monk.

Care to explain how this quest would be any different?

The ridgebacks use decapitate constantly, thus keeping you with deep wound. Agonizing chop interrupts if you have a deep wound, so farming large mobs is damn near impossible.

lol it COULD work even without mantra... i set up a 55 build to farm the ones inside fahranur for my friend and he didnt have mantra and he STILL one because since its hm they atk 50% faster and it takes like 10 seconds for a war to get 5 energy = repeated decapitate use and = no energy or adren to use any other skill...

Doing this solo with SoJ takes a very long time.

It goes a lot faster with 55/famine duo, but there were no good drops, I think there are simply better farming spots out there.

Didn't notice that my armor had it's energy bonus removed. Got a lot easier with the larger pool. Sorry about jumping off the handle.
