Well with wintersday coming im looking for a Good place to farm singed skulls but i think Arenanet just nerfed Just outside The Acadamy i was getting alot now im getting Horrible drop rates on the skulls i want the | SPIKED EGGNOG | should i just farm something else for the spiked eggnog or stay with my bad droprate Singed Skulls?

I'm on the same hunt. In the flame temple corridor there is a million charr you can kill, get about 20 carvings per run, but yeah the trade in ratio is 3:1. -_-

Hmm ... exactly when did ANet change the skull drop rate, during the latest update? Because I was getting the normal crop last night before the update, haven't checked today, though.

And 3 Charr Carvings give you one regular Eggnog. That is so not worth the effort.

After a statistically sufficient sample (around 200 gargoyles killed) I can say that the current drop rate for skulls is exactly the same as one week ago which is the same as one month ago which is the same as one year ago which is the same as during the 2005 Wintersday event when I first started slapping gargoyles. You were having bad luck, or you're doing it wrong and getting snagged by loot scaling.
