I know it is possible to shadow form farm ToPK, but I was looking at some of the monsters there, and the Terrorweb Dryders have [lava font].

Wouldn't that hit through SF and kill you?

They never used it when I was farming them with my Assassin some time ago. They probably will use it only if 2+ people are attacking them.

alrighty, I'm gonna try farming there (my guild is haveing a party and i'm responsible for bringing the party favors, so i'm gonna farm a ton of tombs greens lol)

They'll merch the greens anyway D:.
But yeah, same as why an ele in eotn wont cast meteor shower on 1 person (Most of the time).

They tend to see it an energy unefficient.

you underestimate the noobness of my guild.
plus you can use them on heros, i think some heros on my sin are useing tombs greens atm.

never farmed topk, but the same enemies in UW never, ever use it if your alone, dont know why

i farmed it several times and i still doing it just for fun and see all that powerful monsters(rofl) getting down so easy, anyway they wont use that skill for some reason

The only reason to farm Tombs is because weapons are good for heroes, you also get a lot of exp, warrior/mesmer/ele tomes and it's damn fun. I mean, people used to have problems with Tombs some times ago and now people can solo it...

I've only tried it once but cleared everything until I
reached the wurms on lvl 2.. then I messed up and died.. so, it works
pretty nicely.

Too many Grasps at once can cause you some energy problems tho due to their use of "Fear Me!".

ow ow, you'r wrong man. You cannot do that (or at least not with the current builds with tweaking). Level 2 is the maximum level achieved. So not greens (a pity, they look great to me).

And for the magic question, answers:

1) They wont cast Lava font if you go alone
2) They will cast Lava font if you go with more than 1 person there. >=2
3) Level one is doable just with the new A/E glyph+Dparadox+FS+Sliver, it's just about 10-20 mins, didnt start a chrono when did it. Here's a Sshot in HM with crap build.

4) Level one (and at least level two) have ecto's as drops from both riders and spiders.
5) Drop is just as UW or even poorer, maybe you clean all the level 1 and level 2 ecto's dropper and you dont see 1 hehe.

At least those are my facts farming tombs with A/E.

I clear the first level with my mesmer in around 5-6 minutes , but i tend to only kill the riders and spiders. The most ecto i got in one run 2 in level 1 and 1 in level 2. Changing the damage dealing skills changes the drop a bit.

Even if AI improves, you can stay out of lava font easily.

Reall challenge in TOKP is Fear Me! if you overaggro grasps. It can make one unable to recast SF (unless you have 15/-1 energy set on swap for emergencies.)

no jokes, i was actually thinking of starting a thread myself on this topic but on the subject of how to actually farm it

don't get me wrong A/E has been around for a while now, but with a A/ME (and other ppl's builds, so i will not take credit for that part) i can farm the entire first lvl in 4 minutes flat and most of the second in 15-20

the builds been posted on this forum alrdy.....just not the technique :P
