I use it in a number of areas where AoE, signet or touch skills are used by mobs.You can still run in, target and kill the mobs that are getting through SF, cancel SoH with DP, step out and heal up any taken damage for a repeat and rinse till it's clear of any threat.

Perma SF is obviously not always "god mode" and SoH can make many unfarmable areas and mobs easily doable and vastly more profitable.

even for sins i'd prefer [shattering assault] and the typical unblockable chain/assassin's remedy that usually goes with it.
moebius is pretty much used for one thing, spamming death's blossom, and i think that combo shines a lot more in pve than pvp.

edit: also, i think we all know [wastrel's collapse] is the best sin pvp skill out there
edit2: oh yeah, and [aura of displacement] becuase mobility>moebius

[moebius strike] + [horns of the ox] still is hawt

can be used for a lot more besides DB spamming you just have to think a little....
