Default shove assassin: the new best thing

i'm far too lazy to find the old thread, so i'll repost:

the new skill icons are not updated, check in game for real descriptions.

[build prof=A/W dagg=12+1+1 tac=10 crit=8+1][shove][falling lotus strike][horns of the ox][falling spider][twisting fangs][shadow walk][dash][healing signet][/build]

the new shadow walk disables all attack skills, which does not affect shove. therefore, it's the only shadowstepping assassin that allows you to attack right away.

Ì had sort of the same idea, yet I haven't been able to try it out yet, how does this hold up?

the same it has always held up actually. i've had it for quite a while now, and it's always been my favourite for running around AB and ganking for the lulz.

it's funny, because all the accumulated nerfs on the assassins have just made this the best available... or pretty close to it.

Shadowsteps work fine, you just need to get a knockdown or an interrupt. Against NPCs it doesn't matter, but if you cut through the .75 by getting your opponent to be unable to do anything, you will still net big damage. You just have to be smarter with the usage.

So because your skills are already disabled from Shadow walk, they cannot be further disabled by shove, thus allowing you to shove and attack almost immediately (as soon as the shadow walk 1 second wears off) ?

Shush. If Anet gets wind of this, the whole Tactics line is going to be Ether Renewal'd because of the Shove sin.

Shove doesn't disable attack skills.

The entire build revolves around minimizing Shadow Walks drawback.

RETURN OF THE SHOVE SIN!!!

Too bad it's only one chain every 20s though. That's why i liked the shadow prison thing. Just run that and augury of death and could pop off a chain every 8s :\

ahhh yes I see. Misread "non-attack" for "attack".

I like it ... still feels a bit slow without IAS but the double KD is nice, as always.

I was thinking the same, playing around with it a bit. I just wanted to squeeze in a nice finishing move of some sort ... but couldn't get it to work yet.

GJ though Moriz on getting me back to play around with sin chains.

Thanks for sharing

i tried blades of steel as well. however, it's pretty bad on this particular build.

BoS is only good if you can already apply a deepwound, which generally means impale. however, this build cannot run impale, because of shove's "disable all non-attack skill" condition.

the bleeding+poison+deepwound is nice to have, since the chain doesn't do a ton of damage. in gvg, it can drop an archer. in RA/AB, it can drop the average player. that's about all you need out of a pvp assassin these days.

No offense but this build is not nearly as gud as the Backbreaker Sin mainly because they have the same weakness ~ signet of humility and they both req K/ds. Secondly, remember horns of the ox got nerfed so it doesn't even nearly do any damaga, so basically all ur dmg comes from the fallers, and twist fangs which doesn't cause enough to create a kill. Also IAS is pretty important >.< IMO. And i do not get how shove cancels out shadow walk? But I'd give this build a okay, but seriously take out HEAL SIG and add sum REZZ SIG.

This is just imo,

They didn't hit [Shadow Fang], it's just 45 seconds and 10 energy... but you still get in someones face and can immediately flip out...

I suppose you could also use [Scorpion Wire] run out to wand range and try and hit them while they're on the ground. Just hope it doesn't get removed before you can trigger it, or that you telegraph your target to much.

Because Shove is a touch skill and not an attack skill.

i ran with

[shove][falling lotus strike][twisting fangs][falling spider][blades of steel][mark of instability] optionals

but yea ideas been around for awhile and with the "death" of shadow stepping me thinks we'll see many coward/moebius/shove sins around.

good idea none-the-less as expected
