First build ain't too bad, second one is where you have troubles imo.
Shield of regen isn't that great, I'd take restore condition, which might even free up a slot on the healer's boon monk bar, for cure hex for exemple. Heroes are great with it.

(I don't like guardian in PvE but you can keep it and replace heaven's delight

Dying a lot or surviving depends to on experience.
I don't know how much experience you have at GW just that your new to eye.
Some people have played for 3 years which gets you a lot of inbuilt survivability.

Basic principles
Know your enemy sort out principle targets before attacking, I take out their healers then any spellcasters causing you trouble then finish off the grunts.
Watch patrol patterns of mobs don't fight too many.
Use a bow to pull a few at a time, keep the party well back and use a bowman to pull a few at a time,
Fire retreat fire retreat is pulling.
Call the target so your both attacking the same one otherwise your 2 parties of 4 not a party of 8.

I still depend a lot on a decent meat shield of 1 or 2 warrior types with a hero running a mm build.

Its a lot like ancient warfare find the enemy fix the enemy destroy the enemy.
When the mob has a single target in agro range they all go for him then the necro minions close in and finally the spellcasters cause havoc, you do get scatter but the damage is usually done.

I also find a good defensive spellcaster is usefull, either a couple of elemental wards against foes elements etc can be invaluable as can the necro equivalents created from corpses.

Are you doing the dungeons towards the end of EoTN or are you just doing the beginning quests because the dungeons are pretty tough w/o a competent group.

it is easy ,henchman have the best builds in eotn compared to other campaigns,also study the area u are in,the mobs and what uilds they use,i mean for example ofc u would fail if u go with 3 searing flames eles against destroyers,also u should check this build,its one of mi most favorite builds ,i alter it all the time

in my opinion you better drop channelling (with only 3 inspiration btw) from your healer's bar, because heroes have the tendance to go ahead and stand in the middle of the fight to make it work as good as it can. Unfortunatley, this will probably lead your healers to die very fast. What i can suggest you to do (if you want to have a couple of monks as backline) is to use:

Channeling is a pretty weak skill outside of HA.

Heal Party is also bad on a hero because they have the habit of using it as a single-target heal.

Bad build is bad.

You've got Critical Defenses, Mystic Regeneration and Way of Perfection. The only selfish defense skill you should bring on a 'Sin is Critical Defenses, and even then I won't run it in an 8 man enviroment, Way of Perfection needs you to spec into an extremely weak skill line, shortening the possible attributes, for the spec in Mystic Regeneration you're best off running Healing Breeze. Not to mention you already get an armour buff through Critical Agility as an add-on with the IAS.

If you don't have access to "Save Yourselves!", run Asuran Scan or something. If you want more defense, run Critical Defenses.

rs is a Great skill but on a hero bar it wil lead to rc spamage thus making him not focus on the other skills on his bar ,not to mention fast energy burn,i stoped using monk heroes a long time ago ,unless i need a specific build for an area or i need to micro prot on a target,i alaways take Mhenlo and Lina
and use [Blood Is Power]on a hero ,if i cant have that i use[Blood Ritual] and if u dont want a necro hero ,take Eve she has blood ritual and will hapilyspam it on he 2 monk henchman,for heroes take dmg dealers and support for the team

you didnt get the point, the RC build is made to have non-spammable skills along with RCspam (that is not bad for itself) and non-spammable self energy management ability.
